Wifi Bridge Issues

Do you know if it is possible to set up the box using a computer?
LimitlessLED claim to have a PC program to do this on their site: http://www.limitlessled.com/dev/ but I have not been able to locate the link.
I have tried from 2 ios devices, on 2 different wifi networks
Are your networks 801.11n? It is possible the V4 bridge will not connect to a, b or g networks.

OK, I have figured it out, it was my wifi configuration. Now everything is fine, awesome plug in!

Where in Europe can I buy the Bridge 4.0?

Is it possible to upgrade the firmware of my 2.x Bridge, and where can I find the firmware

One place is wifiledlamp.

Is it possible to upgrade the firmware of my 2.x Bridge, and where can I find the firmware

I am not aware of any upgrade firmware for the V2 bridge. The V4 uses different hardware.

I can’t seem to get this to work. I have a new wifi Bridge, I believe it is v4. I have used the app to set it up to work through my wifi and linked Lights so phone app is controlling Lights fine.

Installed add on and entered ip and mac address. But there is no variable under advanced for group.

Any ideas? I have the rgb controllers and add on.

With the RGB lamps and MiLightRGB pugin (as opposed to the RGBW type) the Wifi Bridge only supports one group so there is no need for the Group variable.

Did you set your Wifi Router to fix the IP address of the Bridge?

RexBeckett thanks for your help!
My RGB controllers are assigned to different zones/groups on both the physical and phone app remote, not sure if this makes a difference?

Yes the bridge is on a reserved ip address, and have double checked it is same as advanced tab settings.
Still no luck

What is the model of the RGB controller?

Sorry I am at work so cant check the actual device but here is a link to what I have.
I have 1 wifi bridge, x2 of the RGB contoller boxes, and x1 remote control

That looks like an RGB+W controller but without the white channel. Try using the MiLightRGBW plugin. I have not seen any information on this controller so it is possible some of the functions will not work correctly.

Ok brill thanks for the advice!
I will try this tonight and let you know how I get on. I’d rather it work even with some limitations than not at all

Thanks again

That did it. ;D
And as far as I can see all functions are working including white. Thank you very much!
Have checked and definitely says RGB on controller boxes, but no matter all sorted

Thanks again

I don’t see new firmware posted on www.limitlessled.com/dev - am I missing it? If not, what’s the ETA?

Or Can you tell us how the MiLight app does it programmatically. Web disabled ok and if you don’t have a smart phone, Link it with open security? I have tried to send AT+ commands though the IP UDP not working.
Please help

Never mind I managed to connect and put into command mode. Next to reload web server, put the dashboard back in my MiLight Wi-Fi bridge. I want a dashboard. Thank you!

Hi,
Sorry that I can’t read 27 pages of messages to find the answer I need.

I have a complete RGBW setup with two zones.
Wifi Bridge with the Black Label (port 50000)

I had a easy time with the remote and iPhone pairing with each zone
However I can’t get your application to pair.

Is there something I am missing?

So you would rather waste someone elses time than for you to put a little time and effort into finding the answer or researching? ::slight_smile:

The MiLight WiFi bridges with black labels normally use port 8899 by default so, unless you have changed the configuration, try that.

How did you get it into command mode? And what commands are available? I’d love to cut off the cloud service!

It said in the manual to use 50000, but 8899 worked. Thank you for your help :D
