Which Mobile Apps are users using for Vera?

Hi

I was using the Micasa Vera app for my VeraEdge. But i have just tested ImperiHome which has really impressed.

Via the Vera App i cant activate or deactivate any of my PLEG devices or multi switches. Using ImperiHome they are accessible to trigger.

Just wondering what other users are using.

Google user here, not sure if ImperiHome is on apple but i would definitely recommend it

Homewave

I am only using the Miscaverde app at the moment because I basically have lighting and switched sockets to control and I have set everything to look after itself. I don’t want to be reaching for a tablet or phone to control things. As I expand into a few other things I expect to use a scene controller or two or four to run things from.
I only want to look at a tablet if things go wrong or if I need to add more devices/features.

I know it is horses for courses but for me home automation should be automatic.
That said, a wall mounted tablet displaying Imperihome can be used to give that reassurance that all is well.
Problem is, I am too idle to get round to designing a nice Imperihome display.

I would use it if I had video to display as it avoids putting the video through vera but I have not managed to justify that yet.

ImperiHome (Pro)

AuthomationHD is my main program. My phone has the Vera app as well but mostly for the Geofencing and notification features. I also use Smart Abode as it works great with my Android Wear watch.

I have ImperiHome installed but do not use it often.

I am biased but I use Vera proximity to handle my automation coupled with PLEG.

The few things that are not done by Automation are handle by HAL my phone is always close by and using Ok Google to start HAL works great.
I only have a problem when the car AC fan is on high … A problem in Texas in the Summer … Than I have to lower the fan speed to talk.

I started off using the iOS Vera app, which they borked pretty severely in January. I had to then move to VeraMate and HomeWave.

I’ve started testing the new iOS Vera app, and aside from the somewhat distracting animations, I’m pretty happy with it so far.

Imperihome PRO here, and it is on Apple devices now, but is not as far along as on android.

I would use homewave if if you wete forced to touch and apple device.

ImperiHome Pro

ImperiHome Pro.
In my wish list: hope I can add to my Imperi Pro virtual sensors like the one from World Weather where I can read my weather forcast

“Virtual sensors” Like Weather Underground (think thats what your calling world weather) are supported in Imperihome as I check my weather there.

World Weather will display on your Vera software current weather condition (overcast, partly cloudy or snowing for example) with specific wind speed and direction base on your choosen location when you get your API key. How you can display this in your ImperiHome widget? or your predicted rain precipitation?

I have not tried the RAIN part I don’t use or have that in vera. I’m in California, we don’t know what rain is. LOL

To display in imperihome you do the same as normal, add a device and select world weather.

Well, seems like there no rain and probably too much sun in California.
Read carefully post my friend. What I mean is a “weather forecast/condition” not sensor readings. Sensor readings like temp, RH% and wind speed you can get on ImperiHome without problem, even with a graph charts (see attached) which I do like a lot, but what I’m missing is this “wheather condition” type statement like on Vera app “…partly cloudy” (see below). I don’t see that condition on your posted picture but if you positive that I can get this on ImperiHome, please let me know, that will be very helpful for me.

Think about this:
Its winter, you don’t live in California and you ready to go back home early from work. You changing your home thermostat settings from your cell phone ImperiHome widget so that house will be worm when you get there, suddenly on same page you reading that just start snowing at your place!, don’t worry, from next widget you just remotely turn heat in your driveway so you don’t have to fight with a shovel when you get there.

Veramate. Love it.

AuthomationHD where I can find this app because in the store not found

Imperihome pro and autovera via tasker. Have also used authomation in the past ( and a number of other apps) but believe some of them are no longer supported by their devs.

Absolutely Homewave. While there’s more work up front because it’s so customizable, it gives you the ability design your layout how you want. Check out the Homewave Screenshot thread… You’ll be impressed with what some folks have done.
