Just updated and several of my devices have disappeared. Have been using The GE Caddx plug in and 8 of my 15 devices have disappeared from it. I still see them in zones, but they’ve disappeared under the device tab. Also, sorting devices by type shows two of my locks under the heading: Poly-Control Danalock which I haven’t had installed in well over a year and on an older VeraEdge at that. This leaves me wondering what other devices I have that are missing or mis-classified?
This may be one of those situations where I actually need to restore from backup. Alarm PIR still shows in Virtual Switch app and is still part of a scene, but I’ve lost the PIR itself. So very odd.
The folks were extremely helpful this evening. We tried restoring backup to new firmware, but no changes. 2 issues developed: first, lost 8 of 15 id’d devices tied to the GE/Caddx plug-in app…many with scenes tied to them. Second, was no longer able to put the controller into inclusion mode at all - without an error. Support moved system back to old firmware and restored backup. All devices back and everything normal once again. ![]()
Updated my Plus and Edge with as far as I can tell no negative effects. Not touching my Ui7 vera3 as lately any firmware upgrade there crashes and requires a factory reset and full restore…
I tried to upgrade to the new firmware on a Vera Plus, and now the luup engine won’t load. Help?
I, too, will hold off. Doing a factory reset and restore breaks Datamine2 and it is a pain setting it back up.
I’m getting this error after attempting the update, anyone know where I can download the firmware??
Checking if there is a newer firmware version available
/usr/bin/GetLatestVersion.sh: line 139: can’t create /etc/cmh/version_latest: No space left on device
http://home.getvera.com/firmware’;"> Manually upgrade the firmware to the latest release
Just upgraded my test Edge. The previous release was painful, this one went smooth.
So moved on to my production Edge. That took a bit long, nearly the full 15 minutes, but working right away too.
I know the Lite is harder due to memory limits, but with going to factory settings and restoring the backup that worked too.
So much better than the 7.21 release for me.
Cheers Rene

You’ll have to do a full backup, then a factory reset and restore. Vera Support can help you with this. The cause is that you have so many devices and plugins that there is not enough internal memory left to store the update files…
Installed on:
1 VeraSecure
1 VeraPlus
2 VeraEdge
All no issues post upgrade. One issue with an Edge where the network settings went back to automatically configured from static IP, but that was it.
Epic fail here. Dumped my entire config during the upgrade. Looks like I will have to restore from backup. VeraPlus.
Very hesitant… There is nothing in the release note that is of interest to me and the last release (7.21) caused a lot of mysterious network issues for the first two weeks:
Zigbee died twice dropping all devices. Fixed only by a reboot and recovery from backup.
Zwave: got to a state of constant luup reload and zwave crash. support reset the zwave chip and recovered network from backup. Log seems to indicate that it was due to my Aeon HEM Gen2 high zwave traffic but couldn’t point out to the exact cause. After the zwave reset a number of devices signals dropped from Vera to device but device to vera was ok after nightly heals. Often fixed my moving the vera by 1cm back and forth… Looked like routing was lost.
Now that everything is working reasonably except for some occasional unexpected luup reloads… I don’t think I will risk it.
I’m having the same issue. I’ve got an email in to support to help out. This is the first upgrade in a couple years that hasn’t gone smoothly for me.
Vera Edge, bricked.
Waiting on CS to do some magic.
No issues… Two Vera Edge systems updated. My normal update experience has been hit and miss.

VeraPlus upgrade resulted in a few devices that work in scenes but no longer appear on Vera dashboard. Oddly, I still use Authomation and they appear as individual devices there and respond to commands.
UPDATE
I broke the firmware code and found 7.0.21 (1.7.2935) for VeraPlus is https://dl.mios.com/rl/721/mt7621_Luup_ui7-1.7.2935-en-mios.squashfs .
Currently reverted back from this messed up current firmware. All my stuff works. Hopefully Vera fixes it soon.
SOAPBOX MOMENT
I am growing tired of the B.S. with Vera. I started in 2012 with UI5 and all was well. UI7 is HORRIBLE. I dread switching to say Samsung but I need a reliable gateway. Vera isn’t it. Period.
For the first time in quite a few upgrades, and only the second time since starting with Vera 3 years ago, I had an issue with this latest firmware upgrade. Several devices simply disappeared. And they weren’t at all similar devices. 1 of 3 deadbolts disappeared. 1 of 6 door sensors. 1 of 3 dimmable lamps. etc, etc. I counted a total of 7 devices out of about 80 that went missing. Worst of all was that my main PLEG disappeared.
Vera support restored the previous firmware and I restored the backup and all is once again as it should be. Thank goodness. But now I’ll have to put up with that damn firmware nag screen. Better that, I suppose, than having a bunch of missing devices. Grrr…
I was able to reset the vera to the new firmware, and reloaded my backup and things seem to be working.
After upgrading to the new firmware 1.7.3015 for my Veraplus, I get a LUUP reload everytime I login to the portal (local or through the portal). This is weird. I will revert to the previous version and see if this still exists.
Somebody know the link for previous firmware for VeraSecure?[quote=“chuck1026, post:15, topic:196884”][quote=“BigE-TX, post:2, topic:196884”]Just updated and several of my devices have disappeared.
