UI7 Firmware Custom URL's

Right, I have done this many times as well - restoring backup does not restore the firmware. I believe it contains your vera configuration (apps, devices, scenes, etc.) and z-wave network configuration only. You have to restore firmware from one of the links and either do it while preserving your existing configuration (which again I never had problems with personally) or use the restore to factory option and then restore from a backup.

I went back to 7.0.5 and everything is back to normal for me at this point.

Hoping CopeKyle can add these to the OP for easy reference.

Links have been updated… looks like version 7.0.10 is out now too… Looking for link

Found them… All links up to date

Do you have a link of any recovery firmware for Vera Edge ?
This was possible with UI5 for Vera 3/Lite : http://download.mios.com/firmware/latest-vera3-recovery-firmware.bin

I don’t have a link for that… If anyone posts one, I’ll add it to the top of the links list.

Comment on UI7 7.05. It does NOT have the Monoprice motion issue. It does work. However, it does have the Onkyo receiver issue where it causes some networking issue with your Onkyo networked receivers which prevents them from accessing your network.

I just attempted to downgrade from 7.10 to 7.09, and while all appeared to work, on the first access, the device came up as new - no configuration. Tons of generic devices, but no rooms, no apps, etc.

I chose to retain settings. When I looked at the firmware, it’s still showing that I’m on 1.7.1320 (7.10). So it seems the only thing I successfully did (if that) is wipe my configuration…

Should I not have been able to apply the 7.09 and when it comes up, make no other changes?

FWIW, I was able to restore my back up from just prior (including z-wave network). So at least I’m not back to a factory reset.

EDIT: I hate cross-posting, and that’s exactly what I did - sorry. I’m posted my request for help under a more appropriate thread here: http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,33201.180.html

Does anyone know if the latest firmware has fixed the Monoprice door sensors always showing tripped?

I’ve been running 1.7.541, but if it’s been fixed I wanted to upgrade.

I don’t have any monoprice sensors, but I skipped the last few updates for other issues and now upgraded without any problems so far. I also haven’t heard of anyone saying the beta wreaked their system and its been out for a week or so.

I would feel comfortable to tell you to run a backup and upgrade to beta to test it out. I don’t see you having problems.

sowalsup, did you try the upgrade? I’m waiting for a guinea pig to try before me lol

Haha no, I’ve spent enough time being a Vera guinea pig. I am also waiting on someone else! I’m just tired of the firmware page loading every time I log in.

I don’t have monoprice sensors but thought I would pass it on. Also for the items I do have everything has gotten better or stayed the same with the BETA. Took 10 min to install and no problems. Save a backup and if you don’t like it 10 min to go back.

Hi I am trying to downgade my Vera Edge to try to fix a problem with Powermax creating unwanted notifications. I have read that an earlier version will correct this. I try to downgrade to 7.0.9 (1.7.1278) but when it comes back up it says it is running 1.7.1419. Am I doing something wrong?

Did you ever figure this out? I am having the same issue. Best I can tell it does do the downgrade but them immediately upgrades to the previously installed firmware.

I’ll add a couple of links for Vera Plus:

The general distro 1.7.1754
http://dl.mios.com/firmware/mt7621/mios/release/mt7621_Luup_ui7-1.7.1754-en-mios.squashfs

I received my Vera Plus with 1.7.1786
http://dl.mios.com/firmware/mt7621/mios/release/mt7621_Luup_ui7-1.7.1786-en-mios.squashfs

When asked, customer support said that some VPs were ‘accidentally’ released with 1786, but it should work fine.

After my Vera Lite to Vera Plus upgrade, I had to ‘Program Node Now’ on my battery powered devices. However, the notifications generated by those devices still go to Vera Lite. I therefore cannot turn off Vera Lite. Support is advising me to downgrade (even though they call it upgrade) to 1754. I’ve read many VP owners having the same issue as me, so I doubt that 1754 will solve the problem…

Do the monoprice sensors work properly on the latest VeraEdge firmware?
