UI7 Firmware Custom URL's

So with UI7 being so hit and miss, I think it would be good to have a list of the custom urls for each firmware version. I’m sick of calling vera to downgrade. These all should be compatible with VeraLite and Vera3. If you see anything wrong, please let me know. I’ll do my best to consolidate all links that are posted in this thread into the first post. Thanks all that contribute links.

Adding one for the Edge

Adding another one for Vera Edge. This is Version 7.0.5 (1.7.541/1.7.1018) Mar. 9, 2015 release that should NOT have Monoprice motion and door sensors “always tripped” issue. This is the version previous to the last two updates.

What’s the difference between this version and the 7.0.5 listed in OP?

Original post links are for VeraLite and Vera3 as stated. Vera Edge is using different hardware so firmware is a bit different as well.

Oops, my bad. Thanks. My reading skills are not that great today.

thank you very much that was very helpful i have been trying to find the download server for firmware but it was a bit tricky

Just make sure they get better before you install or you could have a brick on your hands. VERA doesn’t post all these links in fear people will install the wrong one and end up with more problems then they already do.

OP updated with all links available. If there are any notes to add, reply and I will get them added.

7.05 for Vera3/VeraLite is also the last one with correct support for Monoprice/Vision sensors.

Problem with this version is that you cannot change the device options on the sensors. They never save. I will upgrade, make configuration changes and then downgrade again lol…

Thanks for the info. What is the best way to load these into the system Using vera edge

I can speak for the VeraLite and I think the GUI is the same. Go to Settings → Firmware. Then on that page you’ll see a box for “URL for Vera Custom Firmware”. Paste the link you see here into that box and press download. Follow the steps on the next page (always create a back up when asked if you want to). You should be good to go.

Paste the URL into the

Advanced:

URL for Vera custom firmware:

Make sure you “DO NOT PRESERVE SETTINGS”. If you do you may brick the device.

Of course make sure you have a backup available to restore from prior to the latest firmware update.

I have done that on Vera Edge many times now and also on Vera Light that I had before. I am not sure why preserving settings would brick the device… but if there were reports of that happening, I guess that’s the way to do it. I never had any issues though.

I was thinking the same thing. I’ve only downgraded two or three times but always preserved settings. Maybe someone more knowledgeable than me can shed some light on the issue?

If there is doubt call Vera support. That was the recommendation I received.

Does the back up restore the "backed up " firmware version also or just the settings

I’ve heard people say that the “back up” will restore the firmware. I called vera and they thought it would also but when I upgraded to 7.0.7, I tried to restore my back up (7.0.5) and it would not roll back the firmware. So I had to have vera support do it from their side. That was the phone call that inspired this thread because I was on hold for 25 minutes. I’ve also read that there is an internal flag on the device that vera has to set in order to roll back.

I called support and tested myself restoring from backup does not restore firmware. I tested on Edge only.
