Hi,

What about remotec zxt-600 the only one zwave device to control A/A from IR

WiFi Integrations:

  • AVM Fritz!BOX (incoming calls, call number, ā€¦)
  • IP-Control for AV equipment (TV, PVR, AV-Receiver, ā€¦) to stop movie when doobell is used for example
  • Home Connect (home appliance devices from Bosch, Siemens, Neff, Gaggenau)

Onkyo TX NR646 amplifier Protocole EISCP

Will there be an upgrade path to Ezlo from vera? Really dont want to have to re do all my vera installs from scratch. will it be possible to upgrade vera edge to ezlo firmware then backup and restore to ezlo plus?

I secretly wish ezlo would (eventually) make an IR dongle (connected via USB?) through which users could (a) control A/V and other IR-based equipment, (b) learn and save other remotesā€™ codes (both manually in the UI and true learning Ć  la Logitech Harmony), and (c) use as triggers for scenes and device actions on the ezlo platforms.

Iā€™ve never believed it made sense to invest 100ā€™s of dollars toward fancy remotes, dongles and special HTTP hubs just to accomplish the most basic of IR control. This would open up a whole new world!

We will do two things
1-Allow ā€œVirtual Devicesā€ capabilities.
2-Integrate IR Blasters etc.

this way using ā€œVirtual Devicesā€ capability you can take an IR blaster, create a virtual device for it in Ezlo and crate what you need. Then you can use this ā€œVirtual deviceā€ in your scenes, or control it using VOI etc. Lets see if we can get a ā€œbetaā€ by end of the summerā€¦wish us luck pls.

The 3rd party plugin for Logitech Harmony hub already has similar functionality. You can add IR devices from the Harmony hub in to the Vera web GUI and pick which IR device command buttons you want to show. Vera ā†’ Harmony

However due to the nature of the Harmony API on the hubs it doesnā€™t work both ways fully, so you could not have an IR command button press on your remote control handset trigger something to happen in Vera. Harmony ā†’ Vera

You can however have Harmony activities starting or ending trigger something to happen on the Vera, just not individual IR device commands.

Keene Kira128 ?

I read you asked for 2Gig devices, I would love to have my 2Gig glass break detectors 433MHz integrated in the new firmware as they are doing a great job in my current Secure

For the 433 Mhz (2Gig)
Brel motors for roller blinds. In the RFXcom it is configured under Blinds1 T6 DC106,RMF,Yooda,Dooya,ESMO,Brel.
Temperature/Humidity sensor Cresta TS34C

New cheap Zigbee devices from ITEAD Sonoff.

Xiaomi Mi Home integration. I donā€™t think itā€™s possible, but can have dreams right?

If not already stated:

  • SmartThings devices and sensors.
  • Logitech Harmony
  • Nest devices (stretch goal)
  • IP cameras with audio in/out, motion detection, PTZ, ā€¦

It would be fine, if a IP cam with audio in/out could be used as a door intercom with the dashboard and a tablet.

What are Ezloā€™s plans for professional IP security cameras?

Iā€™ve just installed two new 4k Hikvision IP cams and used @Sorin implementation file project and a 3rd party stripped down version of it and the Hikvision ā€œalphaā€ plugin in the Vera app store on my Vera Plus.

I am not keen on having the actual camera images jpg snapshots in the Vera hub or their rtsp streams due to limited resources on the Vera box, but it was the virtual motion sensor devices I did want in Vera. I donā€™t want Vera to record or archive camera events. The cameras themselves will record or a Hikvision NVR box.

The plugin / implementation file reads the Hikvision cameras alert stream information looking for motion detection events these control the virtual motion sensors in Vera.

Ideally on the new Ezlo platform, Iā€™d want to be able to add camera video streams for viewing into the mobile dashboard app, either rtsp or mjpg.

And on the Ezlo hub itself be able to have these virtual motion sensors pulling motion detection events from the Hikvision cameras alert streams.

And what does such integration with Vera / Home automation system bring?

I now have Picture in picture on my Fire TV stick upon motion detection of a camera, using TinyCam Pro and Tasker. And Using Tasker Network Event Server. Vera fires http commands to Tasker to display the camera video in PIP.

Similar on my Kodi HTPCs using the Cam overlay plugin for Kodi, Vera sends a curl command to the Kodi boxes to display the camera image in a popup.

All Android Imperihome home control tablets popup a camera image upon motion detection actually using TinyCam Pro / Tasker on the tablets to display the camera video and then returning back to Imperihome after the motion event. As Imperihomeā€™s own IP cam support is weak and buggy.

Google Home TTS announcements made via Vera / Node Red upon motion detection on the cameras.

Other things, I have been able to configure Vera with Virtual switch devices to turn off or on the motion detection on the Hikvision cameras using their ISAPI API.

Also to have Vera fire http commands to the cameras for them to start a ā€œmanualā€ recording event.

Imperihome Android app.

Hi

In your post, did you successfully ported the feed from a multi channel NVR? like 4/8/16 channel? also with motion? i have been looking for this type of setup so i will use vera mobile app to view and have local hard disk recording continuously.

also can vera edge handle this kind of load?

Im not an expert so the terms i use may not be correct and not confuse my question

I donā€™t currently have a Hikvision NVR, but you would have to turn on the virtual host feature so each of the IP cameras connected to the NVR are also individually accessible via your LAN IP subnet. I assume some other NVR makes have a similar feature.

I did have the two cameras running on my Vera Edge test box before I set it up on my Vera Plus production box. I wouldnā€™t put loads of cameras in Vera however.
