Sorry, I assumed you would have seen my previous post where I explained that some versions of Somfy blinds require a slightly different command to be sent. When using the RFXMgr software on a PC there are “extra” commands available such as up/down (Transmit <0.5 seconds). If someone has the same problem as I did (that their motor just blibs when the command is sent) then they can try this version.
I am sorry(!), did not read the post carefully
They replaced the standard Up/Down commands for Somfy blinds by US venetian up/down commands.
So this change will be ok only for users having only US venetian Somfy blinds.
That is clearly not the proper way to add support for EU and US venetian blinds.
The proper way would be probably the addition of a new variable setting that would set the kind of Somfy blind: standard, US venetian or EU Venetian.
Thanks lolodomo,
I saw on a previous post that you have added this to your list but are working on another project now so might not be able to implement this. Thank you for the great plug-in and if it’s something that you are able to implement in future I’d definitely use it.
Kind regards,
Martin
Venetian modes (US and EU) have been implemented for RFY (Somfy RTS). It is included in the trunk version (working in progress version).
Wow, that’s incredibly good of you to implement this so quickly. Many thanks.
I am trying to install but keep getting an error uploading the lua file. I have been able to upload all the RFXtrx files except the lua one. I was on firmware 1.6 something and kept getting error: “haserl CGI Error Attempted to send content larger than allowed”. I upgraded to the latest firmware and now I see “internal server error” when trying to load the same file. Is there another way to load this? I haven’t done a ton of configuration on my Vera but is there a space constraint? The only other plugin I had was the myQ garage one.
where can I find the trunk version?
where can I find the trunk version?
There : trunk – RFXtrx Gateway
Thanks!
Recently I gat an XT300 moisture sensor.
It is supported bij the RFX 433E but I can not see the Opus / Imagintronix protocol in the vera plugin.
Do I something wrong or is this not yet implemeted in the plugin?
Hi lolodomo - I have them sitting right next to each other so should be ok. I’ve got RFXmngr working, and I can see the ClearCost inputs coming in, but no WT0122 unfortunately…
Any other ideas? Time for a support ticket to http://rfxcom.com/ to ask for some help perhaps?

Hi Mixedup,
Did you ever resolved your issues with the WT0122 and RFXCOM? I’m running Vera3 UI5 (622) and a RFXrec433 and the beta3 plugin, and other devices show up, but not the wt0122 pool temp sensor. I too have it placed nearby the receiver to ensure that I don’t have a range issue, but it wont show up like the Oregon temp/baro/humidity units.
Any thoughts?
UPDATE: Jul-17-2015
I emailed RFXCOM, and they notified me that the RFXtrx433 & RFXrec433 are not capable of receiving WT0122 signals, only the RFXtrx433E. I was misinterpreting the User guide.
In the RFXtrx_User_Guide section 2.2.2, the columns are not labeled very clearly and they are actually going to make some updates to clarify the following:
Type 1 refers to RFXtrx433
Type 2 refers to RFXrec433
Ext refers to RFXtrx433E
If I had recognized that, I would not have purchased the RFXrec433 since my primary goal was to be able to monitor water temperature. I read through the release notes for the RFXrec433 and it indicated support for the WT0122, however that apparently wasn’t the case as indicated by that chart.
I’ll have to investigate an exchange but it’s taken awhile to work out. Lesson learned the hard way, but I wanted to share.
To clearify:
RFXrec433 firmware is equal to RFXtrx433 - Type1 firmware without the transmit functions!
Text from the “Important-ReadMe.txt” file in the firmware zip files:
Important information about RFXtrx/rec firmware:
RFXtrx315 firmware can only be used in the RFXtrx315.
RFXrec433 firmware is only for the RFXrec433 receiver.
If you flash an RFXtrx433 or RFXtrx433E transceiver with this firmware you will disable all transmit functionality in the transceiver!
RFXtrx433-Type1 and RFXtrx433-Type2 firmware will operate in the RFXtrx433 and RFXtrx433E.
RFXtrx433-Ext firmware will only operate in the RFXtrx433E.
For the list of supported protocols see chapter 2.2.2 in the RFXtrx User Guide.
For the RFXrec433 use the Type1 column and skip transmit protocols.
Hi lolodomo,
I just upgraded to UI7 and that gave such a uge amount of problems that I decided to do a clean reintall of UI7 on my Vera Light. After that, I uploaded all 36 files of beta 3 RFXCOM into the Vera.
Only with the lua code I get a load error:
24). L_RFXtrx.lua
ERROR: Internal Server Error
Any idea why? It also happens with beta2 or alpha8 lua file. Also when I upload the Lua only and as the first file, I get this error.
Thanks in advance
Ed
Download the full ZIP file and extract the files.
Use a recent version of the plugin.
Hello lolodomo,
I’m using RFXtrx + RFXtrx Vera Edge, I would like to know if the Somfy control is limited to up/down or can I use the slide control. To open a certain % of the blind
Best Regards
Good work

I don’t think you can use the slide control.
i can confirm that slide control is not possible with the somfy blinds. i guess it’s not possible with all RF, as you dont have bidirectional communication.
Thank you.
I suspected it wouldn’t be possible … :o
Best regards
With some smart and easy programming you may want to simulate it yourself.
Make different scenes for 25, 50, 75% closed. Measure the time it takes the blinds to completely close. Count how many seconds for the percentages above and issue a stop command in every scene after x-seconds.
Of course since vera doesn’t really know whether the blinds are closed or open, you should in every scene make a start situation. For example, first close it, delay of x-seconds, then open it 25% and stop.
