i included my zrc-90 with no problem to vera plus, however after deciding on the scenarios for buttons there is no response, even after trying all the buttons…
has anyone succeeded ? and how?

I installed and tried scenes an they worked fof dingle button push. Then I decided to get clever and upgrade firware to try to geg thd double push option to give me 16 scenes. Fatal error as it messed up my RGB controller which was then not found (even though it operated). I managed to downgrade back to my old firmware which fixed my RGB controller but my ZRC no longer does anything.
That was today so no more news yet.
Rather than updating my Plus I decided to dig out my Edge and give it a try with the ZRC.
The Edge was a clean install from factory condition. It updated to latest firmware and looked okay so I added the ZRC.
It installed okay so I added some scenes. I had no other devices so I just used the e-mail me option to allow me to save scenes.
I set
button 1 one press
button 2 two presses
button 5 two presses
Each option worked to trigger the scene and I got the emails
Single press where double press required did nothing.
Now to see if it still works in a few hours time!
If this all works I will try again on the Plus but only once the RGB control ap update is available. That was what put me back last time but I now know that that was where the firmware change messed up RGB and not everything else.
Fingers crossed.
Update.
Aftet more than 4 hours the scdnes on the Edge are still triggering well. The devices tab shows Cant detect device but it still works.
Have now updated my Plus to latest firmware and as expected the RGB controller ap cannot find the Fibaro device but that is just waiting on the ap 1.34 version (I hope). All other devices looking good so far. I will now remove the ZRC from the Edge and add it to the Plus.
Stay tuned.
Good news. First impressions are good. Scenes are triggeed by single or by double clicks. I have not tried the holding down or release actions but who needs more than 16 scenes anyway.
Lets just hope it keeps working after a few hours.

So, Does it work fine of a Vera Edge?
I’d like to launch scenes but also for example dim my lights while holding a button (using a z-wave dimmer), is this possible?
Unfortunately I also see ‘Can’t detect device’ with a Fibaro Dimmer. Looks more devices give this ‘error’ since last firmware.
I’d like the Remotec, nice device.
All I can say is that before I moved it over to my Plus it was working fine but only on the latest firware.
I have not tried holding the button for control so no comment on that.

I’ve got the ZRC-90 connected to my Vera Edge and is working great.
I’m able to start Scenes: Switch lamps on (single click) and off (double click), Long Press to dim my lamps(found some LUA script for that), start HOME and NIGHT scene, etc.
Untill now it is working very well.
Vera is reporting “Can’t detect device” for my Remotec but that is the only thing.
Good to see that you got it working so well. Can you share the LUA script you use for the dimming as I can see me buying a second unit where this would be useful. I don’t suppose we will get the “Can’t detect device” resolved for a while but hey ho! it works and that is what really matters.
I’m having the same issue - can include the device, but none of the scenes fire on button press. I’m in touch with support, hoping for a resolution.
Are you on latest firmware? Mine didn’t work until I instaled latest.
Yes - Edge / 1.7.2139 - only added the remote after I’d updated.
It looks like the scenes are not downloaded to the remote - when pressing the buttons on the remote I get the 6 quick flashes - from the ZRC-90 manual:
“LED flash once then stay off if
the scene operation is valid
or
LED flashes 6 times rapidly
then stay off if the command or
operation is invalid”
How are you linking scene to Remotec
Create scene. Trigger = Remotec
A scene is activated
Which scene number = 1
How the button is pressed = The key is pressed one time
Validate
Then select actions and save.
I have never downliaded scenes to the remote and have not attached a scene in the device settings as thiese methods did not work.

Scene 1 and one press were just examples. I have successfully selecred 8 scenes with one press and 8 scenes with double press.
Ah, interesting, I don’t get the “how the button is pressed” option when following that through.
What do you have on the advanced tab? device_file impl_file device_json etc? Manufacturer isn’t showing for me on there, which is odd.

When I tried this on my Edge (packed away now) I did get the ‘how the button is pressed’
Perhaps remove and re add.
Odd - still no joy with it - I’ve removed and re-added a number of times - both as the specific ZRC-90 device in the list, and also as a Generic Z-Wave device. Interestingly it always asks me how many buttons it has - something it should know (looking at the device definitions)

I did not add the number if buttons as thus only appears for me in ‘Select scenes for device buttons’ option which I do not use.
I think it may need vera support to fix yours.
