I have 21 Danfoss TRV’s all working fine. I occasionally get panic mode on these units, however this is due to the power cuts we get.
I am however at my wits end with the Vera units I have. I have three units bridged, controlled by the excellent HomeWave app. However when ever I have a power cut, all visibility of the two units bridges to the master unit is lost when power is returned.
Restoring the units to pre-power cut settings (with bridged visibility) makes no difference to the visibility and I have to resort to a Tech intervention. The techs have not been able to resolve this issue long term and as such I do not deem the system as stable.
I am currently trying a number of other controller systems (at great expense) to find a suitable stable controller solution.
The 2.51 firmware TVR’s work great, however I am looking forward to a version 3 where the unit can auto reset from panic mode.
As for the StellaZ units. I purchased two. One included into the system once, one never did. The one included unit did not allow re-inclusion when I attempted a complete Vera re-install.
I have given the supplier ample time to find me a solution, however they have not responded with a solution and as such I shall be returning these units.
Good luck everyone. I don’t think we have a stable solution yet for TVR’s, but I think we are almost there…
In regards to your power cuts, how long do they last and have you thought about adding a UPS to keep everything running ?[/quote]
Whilst a UPS for each of the three Vera units could be a solution it is not one I wish to pursue. If the Vera units had a battery module like the Zipabox then I would jump all over it, however the fact that the units lose bridged links following what is essentially just a reboot, is a fundamental issue and should be addressed properly by MCV.
I would be interested to hear from others with bridging issues.
