HSM100 - Red Dot next to "Armed" Indicator

Must admit, I’m being a bit lazy and can probably dig around for this answer myself, but…

Can anyone remind me what the green vs. red dot next to the “Armed” indicator for a motion sensor means? I had a lot of issues trying to arm my motion sensor remotely, and finally resolved that issue yesterday (I think forcing a re-configure of the sensor somehow snapped it back into shape), but now that it’s armed, the dot next to the button remains red, and I’m pretty sure that’s not a “normal” thing. Anyway, would appreciate anyone’s thoughts on this.

Thanks. ???

Hi,

Red = triggered
Green = idle

The time which the it remains triggered is different for every sensor, but can be set from the device’s settings. If it stays red, maybe there’s something that always triggers that sensor or a misconfigure.

I’ve tried ALWAYS AWAKE mode, (param #5 set to 1) and the “tripped/red” circle never goes green. Most folks change parameter #2 to lower the default 10 min timeout when it “should” turn green again

So I haven’t changed any of the defaults/parameters, and the dot has remained red since I was able to arm the sensor (finally) yesterday afternoon. I know there’s nothing in the room triggering the sensor, so it must still be kluged up somehow. Really disappointing - with all of the quirks I’ve been dealing with in my various z-wave devices, up until I disarmed this thing last weekend, it was actually the most reliable/consistent device. I guess I spoke too soon…
