I just upgraded to Vera 3 from Vera 2. Both units show up on my Mios account. How can I delete the old unit which I will be sending back to Micasaverde. The Wiki says hit the remove button but there is no remove button. Only rename and dashboard. Anyone have a clue?
OK thanks Garrett got that to work. One issue remaining. On the Automator iPhone app both still listed. Any ideas maybe I should ask developer
Sounds like it is cached on the device.

I am also having the same problem. Logging into my MIOS account shows that the device seems to be removed using the procedure mentioned by Garret. However, my mobile apps (Vera Mobile, SQ Remote HD) keeps trying to locate my old Vera Lite.
Garrett;
I clicked on this link, but my browser will not load it.
My searches keep coming back to this post, so where else is this info located?
Thanks
Seaches lead me to this info, http://docs5.mios.com/doc.php?language=1&manual=1&platform=3Pro&page=mymios_web_portal
but I do not have a “remove” button.

same here. Any help?
Hello, see third thread it explain why it is still there, that will drop off in time. http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,11331.0.html
I just changed the MAC address on my router where you can add a cloned MAC then unplugged my modem for about 20 seconds then it renewed with a new WAN IP and the old Vera was gone.
For those of you clicking on the link above from garrettwp, you have to insert your Vera’s IP address in place of where it says “veraIP”. This should work.
So I understand how I should be doing this, but my old Vera is already gone. Is there another way to get the old Vera out of cp.mios.com?
I have this problem too of not being able to remove a long gone Vera 2. Anyone have a fix? The above suggestions did not work for me. Thanks
I would like to find away also. I had to RMA(Smooth Process) a Vera3 that went bad, its long gone but still shows in my account.
I contacted MCV support and they replied promptly. Unfortunately, I didn’t save the email so can’t paste it directly into this post. However, here are the steps as I remember them…
- Login to CP.MIOS.COM
- When you see your old, no longer active Vera, click on it. After a few seconds, you’ll get some sort of error about not finding it or communicating with it - can’t remember exactly what the error stated.
- Once you get that error, ignore it, and click on the “Dashboard” for your old Vera.
- From the Dashboard, goto user accounts. You should see your own account listed - just delete it.
That removed my old Vera from my CP.MIOS.COM account. Good luck.
I tried Garrett’s link with my vera’s IP address substituted but it didn’t get rid of either of my older Veras.
I also tried Sig’s suggestion but when I go to accounts, it seems like the info is for just one account used for all 3 of my veras (2 old and retired and 1 new). Thus I am hesitant to remove info from my account page.
Any ideas?
Yes, it makes no sense. That’s how you know it’s authentic – an malicious person could not make this stuff up ![]()
When you attempt to delete an “account” (your acct or others) it puts up a warning dialog that asks if you want to delete the user from this unit or device (something like that). I imagine it is important that you are actually logged in to that (non-existent) device, so be careful. As bizarre as it sounds, the procedure does seem to work. Next time you log in, the (non-existent) device should be… non-existent.
