I took the device to my parents house and connected it to their ISP router (Plusnet).
I left the device there, it stayed online for about 8 hours, but has just gone offline now.
So that rules out my own router and internet connection as the problem.
Seems the device just drops off the WIFI after several hours and then it shows as offline in the app. Only way to recover is to power cycle the device.
I submitted a support ticket directly to Tuya about it.
Disappointing really, not encouraging me to buy any more cheap WIFI IOT devices.
It did come with an IR remote. You can only use the IR remote when the device is not in WIFI mode, there is a switch on the side of it.
So might just give the supplied IR remote to my daughter for use and program the Harmony hub in that room to be able to turn it on and off. Least then I could turn off the device with Vera house modes and forget about using this device with WIFI / Tuya cloud altogether.
I just started with NR yesterday. Been busy with this for over a day now. The Mios-out node is not updating my virtual switch in vera. I have tried every combination I can think of.
The first thing I notice after looking at the examples above is that when setting up the mios-out topic with:
Unknown:Virtual Binary 1:Status
im getting an “TypeError: node.info is not a function” as a result
the only way to fix it is to add an additional " : " at the end
