DSC (not about the plugin)

For PIN codes configured on the lock itself (i.e. not through Vera with the option to save a copy selected)?
For sure it does not show ****?

Why would someone configure the lock without Vera when he has Vera ?

I have an DSC alarm panel and an IT-100. I’d like to use a wiznet device but don’t know which one will work. Can someone recommend a model number? Also, does it have to be connected directly to my Vera 2 or can it go through the router?

WIZ110SR Series Serial-to-Ethernet Gateway (Midas 3.0 + W5100+MAG JACK + D89)

WIZ110SR

Through the router.

I also added a links to the respective connectivity options in the trac:

@Strangely Just for my information, it this up to date ?

The main thread, the trac, or the plug-in?

What about “all these answers” and “none of these answers” ?

In fact everything is ok. I had in mind the outdated wiki information about the initial plugin.

Tanks. It’s a great and up to date docum

Quick update…running 1234 and the Alarm plugin for over a week and it is working flawlessly!
Thanks again!

More accurately, you need the IT100 and either WIZNet or a USB-Serial converter. The IT100 costs $65US at http://www.homesecuritystore.com/p-1425-it-100-dsc-power-series-integration-module.aspx; the rest can vary.

Would love to see some support for Ademco–I’m buying a house that has a brand-new Ademco system installed. I understand, though, that the Ademco panel doesn’t support external access as easily.
I would also love (and pay for) Ademco support. Wouldn’t a AD2USB Adapter be great solution for the link between vera and the panel?

Nooby here…

So if I buy the dsc kit, serial adapter and the network adapter I can use this plug in to remotely control my panel with little or no programming, besides the inital panel setup?

Yes without much setup on the MiOS side you can remotely control arming and disarming, and get notifications of breaches etc.

Hi,

I have a Vera UI5 setup at home.

I have motion sensors / door sensors and a siren all connected.

Its great however I have to use a phone app or pc to arm disarm.

I want to be able to arm / disarm via a keypad on the wall with a pin.

Would the DSC be the route to take ?

If so what do i need ?

Thanks
