CONNECTED Product Line - Are All Devices Std ZWave?

I just picked up an Aeotec Smart Strip power strip after seeing another post about them in this forum. It works great. There are apparently some issues with getting accurate wattage readings from the individually controlled sockets, and there is also apparently a problem with polling forcing a nightly “heal” that you need to work around, but for me, the strip does exactly what I need, which is remote control over my A/V equipment in my vacation home when I’m not there.

My question - does anyone know if the other devices in the CONNECTED product line also work with Vera? They have a lutron dimmer switch that I really like.

I’ve always been a big fan of Lutron switches, and until I z-waved both of my homes, they were the only switches I used. Since I z-waved, I’ve replaced all of them with either Leviton or Cooper dimmers/switches, and it totally annoys me that I cannot double-tap my dimmers to get instant full brightness (which I understand is some sort of Lutron patent). If the Lutron switch that is part of the CONNECTED line is a standard z-wave switch, I’d consider going back to Lutron for all of my dimmers.

I have no direct experience with this switch, but I do not believe that the Lutron Caseta series are Z-Wave switches. Therefore, you should not expect them to work with Vera.

I think you must be referring to the Staples Connect Hub right?

It does support Lutron’s Caseta line which is part of the Lutron Clear Connect proprietary wireless system (that includes the Pico remote as well) and while the Connect Hub works with Clear Connect, it also has a Z-Wave and a Wi-Fi radio installed as well. So the Staples Connect Hub CAN control both Lutron Clear Connect (Caseta/Pico) devices & Z-Wave devices, but the Vera won’t control the Lutron Caseta switches, just Z-wave.
