it is there already ( track now ) and it is a statefull button meaning, when active, the timeline will stay focused at the now point

First, thanks for your work here. You’ve done some great work and the continued enhancements have really patched together a ton of integrated capabilities which has continued to deliver unexpected surprises and keeps this ‘hobby’ (if I’m honest with myself) interesting.
Regarding workflows, it would be nice if there was an easy way to have an OR operating for transitions rather than the AND option. This particular workflow is coupled to the door/window/motion/occupancy sensors and using a separate transition is possible but a bit difficult to manage. Finally, it could be useful to make bag’s available to other workflows, but realize this may be more work as many may already use them assume they are strictly local.

First of all, I am very satisfied with AltUI! It’s better, more intuitive and stable than UI7. But… it’s only a different view. It still lacks the good device support and Zwave stability of the underlying platform.
Having said that.
I have notices that the “fee” that the author wants to recevie to use the Altui is becoming more and more aggressive. The registration message was always able to click away, thats not possible anymore. Now the “my home” is prominent and the message to only use 5 if not registered is all over the interface.
I find that a pity! I really like this interface but I do not like the price of it currently to “use” is besides the native interface. Maybe I mis out something here that fully justifies the fee on top of… (other than I do beleive it is an awfull lot of work for the autor! - impressed!).
I would like to ask if this fee can be brought down or be “bought forever”. This way it is more eysy to decide when or what to pay for me…
Also having more users configured on vera only show the “first” alphabletical user in the not registered message…

yes, ALTUI’s design center is a user user interface and not so much an admin user interface, however you do get into some management like some relationship graphs, os commands etc… but these are cherry in the cake, I cannot afford going too deep in device specific things like inclusion/exclusion etc… I cannot replace a whole lab of developpers !

yes it is indeed possible for the main message. after the few seconds checks that it takes to verify the registration, the cross icon on the top right enable to close the message.
the myhome is part of these extra features that are a reward to registration users. I left it visible on 5 items for non registered so they get a fair preview. The registered user gets a coulpe of extra features like drag and drop of scene actions in the scene editor, the timeline view, the unlimited myhome view etc… i think it is fair to give them a little extra
users’ mileage on that question may vary as you get quite some extra features compared to native UI ( watches, workflows with reboot persistent timers, graphs, full skinability, good compatibility with plugins, custom plugin icons visible on remote access etc etc ) but opinions must be respected and this is why I do not cripple down many of the ALTUI features for the non registered users except a few bonus ones.
also understand, have chosen as software as a service model , you do get quite a number of feature + ongoing improvements for less than a cigarette pack per month
I can think about a longer model ( 3 years ? ) to make a better discount maybe
an improvement I have to do… just lower in priority order for now. I however have allways graciously added additional users to anybody asking for it

Hi, if there would be a perpetual license for a fair price I would think about it. I do no use Altui a lot (use the phone with imperihome more). Altui only for the lists of device sometimes and rename devices I use Altui. Though, I am very happy to have it!

thx. That is a bug I need to address ( I will) , the intention is to have a message only once.
I will add a 36 m option.
Add a link on the ALTUI device, so that newcomers can easily enter the ALTUI world from the VERA UI. This would avoid them having too think to hard about what URL to type in.

http://openLuupIp:post/data_request?id=lr_ALTUI_Handler&command=home&lang=en&home=pageUsePages&layout=lean&nPage=5then they could copy and paste the url in a new window and book mark it - or in my case can email my kids the lean url fotr the things that they can change

I will look at this. a workaround is almost there with the local button and home page options field. you put you options there and the Local button opens it with the options you specified. but I agree, it is a bit clumsy, I l lcheck

Can I suggest to better display the names in the devices? In altui I am very happy to overcome the max namesize in UI7. But some name that are a litte longer are not completely displayed in the interface. I have to click on in (edit) to see the name…

ALTUI respect the golden rule to not install anything special, not file and no where in VERA file system hierarchy that is not part of a standard plugin installation. therefore with that constraint I am not aware of a method to do what you ask.
The alternative is to save a favorite on your browser ( also works on mobile like iPhone iPad where you can share and save as a desktop icon for an easy opening like a standard app )
You can also use the Open button from the settings tab ( latest github version contains a fix for that )
