How are these working for you guys?
I’m still on UI5, any issues?
What is the motion reset time? Adjustable? (I like the ‘test’ mode on the Schlague units - 4 second reset - great to entry alerts)
How good is the Motion sensitivity adjustment?
thx
It doesn’t work for me in U15, even with a later beta firmware. There was some talk about Vera talking with Aeon to fix it, but nothing yet. How anyone could release a product that doesn’t work with the most popular controller on the market, I’ll never know.

thanks, I’m hoping it will work with WINK then I can use it through the WINK plugin for Vera.
I still have mine working with UI5 on a Vera Lite. I don’t have it controlling any lights or anything but its plugged in to the roof of my garage (next to the roller door motor) and it appears to be working as it should.
Will eventually setup some logic but so far I just walk through with the homewave app open every now and then to see whether it’s detecting me.
I purchased a Multisensor 6 and, after adding it to my Vera Edge, I ended up with five devices being added to my Vera Edge (not 6):
a generic one
_Temperature Sensor
_Light Sensor
_Humidity Sensor
_GET_LANG(generic_se
then I selected the first one (which I suppose is the main z-wave device for the Multisensor?) and changed the device_type, device_file and device_json as recommended everywhere.
At this point, the first sensor gained an Armed/Disarmed switch.
However, this first sensor does not get triggered when motion occurs in front of the Multisensor.
Instead, it appears to be the tamper/vibration sensor of the device itself.
I’m saying this because if I shake the sensor, I get an alert. If, on the other hand, I move in front of it - no matter how long and how many times - I never do.
Temperature, humidity and light levels are being reported correctly.
Therefore, my Multisensor is not working for its primary purpose… does anybody have any ideas?
Thank you!
The first generic device is the motion sensor. Vera doesn’t support the vibration sensor yet. Have you got it battery powered? Read the instructions about how the motion sensor works as it’s not obvious. . Have you tried putting it down on a surface and leaving for 5 minutes for the tripped indicator to go out then waking past without touching it?
Solved! (thanks to Aeotec’s support)
I had to go to Device Options under the Motion node, and add the following parameters:
parameter 3 [2 byte dec]: 30
parameter 4 [1 byte dec]: 5
Now it works fine and properly detects motion!
The next step now is figuring out how to detect when the multisensor is no longer reachable (battery died, power outage, etc.), since I’d want to trigger an alert/notification as I’m using it for security.
I also noticed that when the multisensor becomes reachable again (power restored if wired), it appears to behave as if the motion sensor had been tripped. That is, if it’s armed because I’m away, it will make my siren go off, which is not what I want in case of a temporary power outage. OK, I should still power it with a battery to be safe - but I’d like the behavior to be clean and properly handle the “power restored” case differently from “sensor tripped”.
Any ideas?

I’ve got the same settings and it doesn’t work. I take it you’re using the latest of the sensor’s firmware?
It also doesn’t work on my setup.
When I apply the parameters, I get the text “Please wait! Getting secure classes” and then “Setting user configuration”. Sometimes text is green, sometimes it’s red. I tried with either armed or disarmed, it doesn’t change. Now, I’m stuck with my sensors only detecting vibration instead of motion :-\
Someone can indicate me if I entered the parameters in the correct way?
I don’t know, I’m sorry - but during all my tests, I have realized that when things went wrong with a given device the best (only) solution was to reset it and start again from scratch…
In my specific case, after reset, I followed this procedure (suggested by Aeotec’s support) - with the sensor always connected to USB power in order to avoid issues with it going to sleep:
1.0) Add as “Generic Device”
1.1) If Vera fails to send security node, then unpair the device and try again
Go to “Advanced” under the Multisensor 6 motion node
Device type changed to “urn:schemas-micasaverde-com:device:MotionSensor:1”
Device file changed to “D_MotionSensor1.xml”
Device JSON “D_MotionSensor1.json”
The Sensor May or May not disappear, if it disappears then unpair or factory reset the device and return to step 1.
Now set these parameter settings after a finished inclusion of the Multisensor 6.
I didn’t need to do any reset. Actually, I always stayed on the sensor (never click on the menu) and used the "back button to go in the different sections.
No need to reload the engine, as stated on other posts : I think that this is the reason why it didn’t worked on my installation. Just follow, letter by letter, what Alb wrote!
I definitely plan on getting one of these. I want to mount it inside a gun safe. I can monitor Temperature and humidity to see if I need climate control since it will be in my garage. Light and motion will indicate if the door is open (or if one of those pesky “assault weapons” decides to come alive for evil purposes), and the vibration sensor will be helpful in case someone tries to break into the safe.
Signal attenuation hopefully won’t be a problem since the Vera, light switch, and Mimolite are also in the garage.
Stupid question, but are USB power and battery an “either/or” thing? It would be nice if I could have it use both in case the power goes out or the safe is unplugged.
With others now able to have working sensors, I’ll ask the question again, I seem to have one of five sensors that responses to motion but in a blue vs the other four that respond in a green light. Does anyone else have some thing similar is this a user option? also has anyone discovered a way to stop the led from flashing as to not alert someone that they’re motion was detected? Mike
I’m trying to get this sensor working with my VeraEdge on 1.7.541. It appears to report everything correctly. However, the motion tripped status immediately untrips. Never stays in the tripped state for more than a split second. Anyone know why? I followed the steps from post #171 when configuring the sensor.
