I have two and use the same camera models/configuration. The unit in question was setup at my house on my system with 5 cameras and worked the entire time, I moved it back to its original location /router/cameras, setup the cameras and the playback initially worked!
I have exactly what you have. I am wondering how it spontaneously fails without changing anything.
I also see that in the new dashboard after removing and re-adding the camera, the stream urls show blank, but maybe I need to wait for it to fully “populate” the new device I created, I just dont know but I will wait.
Right I remember the local path you explained earlier, so I noticed it. when I was there on site on the same LAN I set them up and they worked. I am remote set one up again and that one does not have the URL. This still can not be edited once created using Vera Mobile
That’s a bug in the mobile app(s) where you cannot edit the connection settings for a previously added cam, there is a ticket for it, but looks like it has not been assigned to a dev team as yet.
I was referring to not being able to edit a cameras existing connection settings in the mobile app, as the Save button seems to do nothing (In Android not sure about iOS version)
With regards to the Mios Dashboard / Ezlogic web UI in the Device Settings area, you cannot edit the initial camera connection settings in there either currently.
For a 3rd party RTSP Camera you just see this on the menu.
However for one of Ezlo’s own VistaCam branded cameras you get this full menu of settings, but none related to the initial connection settings of the camera though.
And about the cameras actually playing on the dashboard itself, mine still do not and just have spinning circles on them all the time. I am not sure what that problem is.
EDIT: Now some of those camera dashboard tiles briefly show some of my cameras images, however they are night time ones its dark outside on those image. Yet its broad day light here now, so clearly it doesn’t seem to be loading the cameras streams properly still.
I just rebooted my router and the Ezlo controller and the dashboard tiles started working again in Chrome browser. However the tiles reload a lot and lose the images a lot and buffer a lot but they are not actually connected and play some what.
When you say now its back onsite, where are the IP cameras actually located? Also on the remote site?
When I added my cams in the mobile app I just used local LAN IP address for the cams, but my controller and cams are all here at home on the same LAN etc.
My dashboard version in Chrome says its version 1.1.23
This unit was in Oklahoma, Im in Kansas. I went to get that unit, it got bricked by remote and needed reset back in October. I brought it here and added local LAN cams that are identical to the ones at the other location. All local cams worked while it was here on my network.
Last week, I removed all cams and sensors. I took it back to the site, installed all their door sensors and their local cameras again.
Video worked straight away, The next morning not playing at all after just running once nighyt. That arm disarm issue I reported (same unit) was a problem from the moment I got the sensored paired. That issue appeared immediately after installing the door sensors and motion sensor while trying to show them how it works.
I used the Vera Mobile app to set this all up on the site after returning it to my granddaughters house.
Using Edge
After the reboots my dash tiles do now connect to the cams and they do play some what. However they seem to not be stable, the image can disappear on the tile then go all black, then go to a loading / buffering state and then the cam image loads again for a short while then then the same thing happens again. So they are connected but don’t consistently playback well.
I did not observe that at all but this network/router/signal/throughput is not in question. Its note worthy since that can impact live video. I do alot of camera installs.I learned the hardway with Blue Iris DVR. So, no LAN/WIFI issues. The cameras are all 2.4 GHz WiFi and that unit is direct with Cat5 to the WiFi router and small venue square footage good signal no mesh.
I Just watched the live video with audio seconds tick off for 5 cameras for over 1 minute. Then put one in full screen again live video/audio for over a minute.
Its really impressive.
I now have a unit that did have working RTSP cameras on the dashboard but recently after the unit was restored from a backup, the cameras dont work. Deleting and readding them results in the app showing the camera image but live stream fails in the MiOS app and the dashboard displays not video. This thread is over a year ago does anyone have a way to view the RTSP stream in the dashboard?
Hi @focusedcoder
I had a similar problem with my Amcrest IP camera. Have you tried to enter just “/” as an rtsp_url_path? It worked for me. At the same time, Amcrest’s official documentation states a different RTSP URL.
I am waiting for Jonathan to update me since I posted he requested the information for the cameras.
I set these up last year exactly as described here and they stopped working after support restored the unit from a back up so it did work with the URL I had if something changed it was while support worked on it. It seems like it not getting fixed this is from last month.
We have re-added your doorbell camera, but the streaming is not working because the camera codec (H265) is not supported. Could you please check this setting in your camera’s configuration and change it to H264?
Thanks i will look into that. What about the other ones? I have noted somewhere no changes were made to the cameras or settings these all stopped displaying after support reset this unit with a back up so thats still the only thing changed not the camera settings. But I will check them.
I checked my cameras using the factory app and they are all available to me. AntonS has indicated that the path I should use setting them up in the Ezlo Mobile App is just a “/” can you confirm that?
and is there a way to add them and edited them after creation?
