Anyone else is having issue some time that a device is flooding the zwave network?!
It’s the 3-4 times I got an issue with VeraPlus and the support told me that a device is flooding the zwave network and that I need to pair it again. After doing that, no more zwave flood and LUUP is working way better…
I had this exact issue a few months back. Support gave me the same response but said that the device in questions was bad so I tossed it. Mine was a contact sensor from Monoprice.
Symptoms might range from simple delays in z-wave communication, up to complete Z-wave chip serial failure, with errors like “Z-Wave failed to start”. Sometimes It’s not very easy for support to exactly pinpoint to device either.
If the flood is too aggressive, the only way for the serial communication with the z-wave chip to be recovered, is to either completely unplug remove any z-wave device in the location, or take the unit at another location and reset it to factory defaults. This way the home id of the Vera will change, and the z-wave device in question will not be able to flood anymore.
I had a Leviton Zone Controller that was acting up. I flipped the breaker and it reset itself. I went through each breaker until I found the circuit with the offender.
