Z-Wave integrated blinds/shades: Custom Graber Virtual Cord Shades

I am an avid user of smartthings, haven’t tried Vera yet however the following should work since it works as a dimmer switch out of the box in most z-wave systems (verified on smartthings and wink).

Full Disclosure: We are dealers of Graber products, all our products are made to order at custom sizes and options.

Graber’s virtual cord shades utilize Z-Wave+ to operate. This means it can be directly integrated with Z-wave based home automation systems. It works out of the box as a dimmer switch.

Motorization is manufactured by Somfy, but the system is designed by Graber. Standard 5-year warranty by Somfy on the motorization system.

1. Oh no! I have connected my shades to Vera but now it won’t go up and down by more than 3 inches. What do I do?: Setting Upper/Lower limits, Graber Z-wave Virtual Cord Shades - YouTube

If you have any questions feel free to ask away! Also I do have coupons etc to use, just not sure if I can post it yet. Will keep the second post reserved.

I couldn’t make your link work, but https://www.zebrablinds.com/smart-homes/smart-motorized-electric-shades does work.

Do you have any top-down/bottom-up models? If so, I expect that won’t work as a standard z-wave dimmer…

Sorry about that, copy paste error. Correcting it now.

Do you have any sort of showroom in northern NJ?

We don’t have a showroom, its merely an office. Since we are online based for the past six years, we have operated with customers ordering free samples and placing an order based on that. For the Z-wave specific products, they are manufactured by Graber (motors by Somfy) and shipped by them. We are verified dealers of Graber and not a reseller. If you need to see the shades, your local home depot or Lowes or Costco might carry non-motorized versions. Pricing will always be better with us.

I hope that helps.

For your cellulars… Is the battery pack external or do they hide in the headrail like lutron does?

The battery pack is external but it doesn’t take any additional space. Please take a look at the following video, it shows the installed battery pack as well as other info, it’s from my personal youtube account since its informal and taken quickly to answer a few questions from the ST forum.

The shade is an outside mount in the video since I don’t have any depth on my windows (very old house, the windows are being redone). If you have any further questions please feel free to ask.

You don’t have any top-down/bottom-up shades yet, correct?

yes, we currently don’t have any top down bottom up shades with motorization and z-wave integrated.

Edit: Only the standard bottom up shades are available as shown in the videos.

What is the status of getting top down/bottom up shade options in place? I really don’t want to go with HD, but they offer a motorized version, even if it does require their terrible hub. I have double hung windows at every location in my house, and this is a feature we really want.
