When my vera goes down in Florida is there anyway to reset it from NJ. This is the second time in two weeks it went down. The first time I had my cleaning girl go over and unplug it and plug it back in and it was fine. There has to be another way.
nope, not until we get new updated/fixed dongles. mine went down 3 or 4 times while i was on vacation for a week, i feel your pain. the good news is that there is a fix… and it should be soon.
i have a manual timer restart mine 4 times a day. just dont update firmware at 00, 06, 12 and 18
I think it goes down with the lighting storms I’ll try a timer thanks
Mine seems to become unreachable (even from LAN) every day or two. If I leave it alone it corrects itself after a few hours.
Anyone else having this? I also get the email from findvera saying my vera is down.
Though I haven’t “done anything” to Vera lately, and notwithstanding the fact that our neighborhood had a very brief power outage yesterday (not today)…
…I received the good ol’ “Your Vera #1234 is down” error message via email today from FindVera.
I figured you guys would wanna know about this random occurrence, and I’ll post again if it happens another time.
Me too. 3pm EST
Nothing down my end
I should specify that my Vera has been working fine all day, though I did not check it 5 hours ago (circa 5:30 PM EDT) when the “Vera is down” email was sent.
ALSO, I just tried logging on to FindVera and discovered I CANNOT.
Using IE 7 in WinXP Pro, with Vera Firmware .899. Local Vera access is OK.
Ditto. As of 6pm ET.

Oddly, despite my home’s electricity being off several hours overnight this past week, I never once received a “Your Vera is Down” notification. I’m using firmware .918.
Has anyone else noticed this discrepancy?
Did you login to findvera and verify that the checkbox is still ticked for ‘notify when down’ ?
Mine seems to keep getting turned off for me. Perhaps thats MCV’s fix for the “Your Vera is down” problem
Wow, Madas, thanks for pointing out what turned out to be the exact problem.
What the heck, MCV?
