I just install the Yale YRL-220-ZW-619 Real Living Touchscreen and I’m having problems, so I was wondering if its something someone experienced before. The door lock won’t unlock, it tries, makes sounds, but it won’t unlock or lock. When I send the command or click on the lock panel itself it clicks, many times, and tries to unlock unsuccessfully. I get this error “yale door lock bolt not fully extended”
If I remember correctly I had the same issue when I installed mine. Turned out that I had the tailpiece turned 180 degrees when I installed the lock mechanism. Start at section 7 in the install instructions and recheck the positions of the lock.
check that you installed the deadbolt correctly, with the correct side up.
Yale deadbolts automatically detect the “handing” (direction to open and close) when they are first installed, and saves the setting. if the deadbolt wasn’t fully installed when inserting the batteries 1st time, the handing detection could have failed. You’ll need to reset to default factory settings (see manual) and insert batteries after the deadbolt is installed properly to allow it to discover the correct handing.
I would also check if it lines up properly in the door frame side. If it is tight maybe the motor cant handle the extra resistance. Did you install the plate that came with the dead bolt or leave the old one on?
