X10 control using Smarthome 2413U modem

I recently purchased a Vera Plus. Upgraded to 1.7.2138. I still have a lot of old X 10 switches and lamp modules, so I purchased the 2413 USB modem.

I can control on/off function of my X 10 devices no problem. The Vera / Insteon software has sliders for brightness levels, but I can’t control the bright / dim levels. When you turn on one of the X 10 switches and run the slider to 100%, the controlled lamp just comes back to the same level that it was previously set at on the switch or X 10 controller. I played with various baud rate settings for the modem, but it doesn’t seem to make any difference. Also looked through settings to see if I could figure out something to tweak, but didn’t see anything obvious.

Has anyone discovered a fix for this?

Hope I am posting in the right place. Sorry if not.

I don’t have anything to help you but I had a question… How do the X10 devices show up on Vera? Do you manually have to add them or does it detect them from the old X10 controller? (Do you even need the old controller anymore?)

Have you ever been able to find a solution ?

NOPE. Gave up on Insteon in Vera. Going another route. What are you trying to control with it?

I used to use the X10 CM11 app and it worked well (including dimmer functions), although I suspected (but could not prove) that it somehow was linked to the vera losing memory and locking up and/or rebooting frequently. Anyhow, I found that my X10 devices were starting to die maybe as their capacitors aged… for whatever reason I bit the bullet and slowly replaced them all. Kinda sad to see them go (it had been pretty reliable, in particular after I put in a phase filter to block external noise - but that had also failed), but on the other hand the zwave stuff is generally better.

Hi have some SR227 120VAC Receptacle that I bought before my X10 controller died. I’m not able to make them work eith the Vear/2413U.

Also, my dimmer light switch are not dimming and they are not always working also. sometimes, the ON works, sometimes it does not work.
