It’s the plug, or even a scene if I want, the cycles the switch back to off to allow it to work again. Awesome, at least I know the unit is setup correctly. Working on getting the Plugin working on UI7, tech support trying to figure out the plugin bugs.

Correct right now it basically a latching relay and you need a momentary (quick on then back off again to reset, like when you push then release the button on the wall) The Garage door plugin does this for you. Problem is I don’t think the MIMOlite plugin works correctly on UI7 yet as I think you have found out. I think right now the mimolite plugin is not creating your child devices right? The sensor for the door doesn’t show up? Same as in this thread.

I just check and the " Garage door plugin" does work on ui7. See the end of this thread.

Don’t try and use the “MIMOlite Garage Door” plugin. That one is no good.
So yes I have found out that the plugins do not really work, and the one that does really needs the childs to be created or it doesn’t work properly either.
I have worked with VERA on this in the past. Marc at vera responed that the creator of the Mimolite plugin only had a vera 2 which doesn’t support ui7. He was working with him on getting him an EDGE to allow him to work on updating his plugin to work with UI7. Until that happens non of the MIMO’s are fully functional with ui7.
What does work is the main relay only. So in theory you could use a another door sensor as a sensor input. I currently use my alarm panel and the doors all had sensors already. So I’m not using the mimolite input.
I know you may not want to spend the money, but you could also buy a battery powered wireless z-wave door sensor and attach that to the door as a temporary solution. After the plugin becomes working you can take that off and use it for something else (another door or window) you might already have in mind.
This would provide you a working “Garage Door Plugin” right now and down the road provide you with an extra door sensor.
