Wiring a Kidde SM120X into a Honeywell Alarm Panel for smoke detectors

Hey there. Was hoping someone could confirm my connections for wiring up my Kidde SM120X (relay from 120V smoke detectors) into my Honeywell 20p panel.

So I’ve got the relay connected on the hot side as required (red/black/white). On the output side from the relay, I THINK I need it set up like this:

  • Blue/Orange (Normally Open) connected to ZONE 1 in the panel
  • Use an EOL resistor on the zone. Across terminals at relay.

Programming…I haven’t got their yet, but I’ll set the zone up as fire with verification so it gives a bit of a chance to reset the smoke if it goes off accidently.

Sound correct?

Update: This did work fine. The only glitch is that my scene which runs pulses on/off every 2 seconds or so. That seems to be because the actual ALARM siren is going on/off (fire zone) and it actually send up individual alerts every time it pulses. So I’ll have to work on that. Otherwise, seems to work ok.
