Will Verizon devices work?

I’m changing over to a Vera 2 from Verizon Home monitoring and wondered if the devices I got with my starter package from verizon will work with the Vera 2 before I send the package back.

I do not see why not. As long as they are z-wave compatible, you should have no issue adding them. You first need to exclude them before you can include them into Vera.

Thanks for replying. Forgive my ignorance but I’m new to this technology but what do you mean by “Exclude”? By the way, the devices are all z wave and are listed as compattable devices vor Vera but I understand that Verizon hard codes the devices somehow so that you can only use devices you buy from them on their system.

Z-wave devices can only be paired to one main controller. If these devices were included in the version home automation controller, they will need to be excluded. This can be done by any primary controller (including vera). Exclusion process is different for each device. You should have no issue including the version devices to Vera as they are only hard coded on Versions end and should not prevent you from adding them to another controller.
