Which rain sensor (Z-wave or RFXcom compatible)

Who has (or knows) a rain sensor which can be connected to Vera and give a direct indication when it starts to rain?

Recently I have automated my sun blinds using the duwi Z-wave switch. Using the Oregon WRG800 sensor (wind Speed and Direction) in combination with RFXLan and the Vera I can close the sub blinds automaticly when the wind speed is above 6 m/s. I also have a Oregon rain sensor, but due to the way it works (tipping bucket principle) it’s to slow to give a rain signal (first the bucket has to fill).

I’m looking for a rain sensor which I can connect to my Vera (or via RFXlan to my Vera) which will give the rain signal as soon as the first raindrops start to fall.

Who can help?
Thanks

You can increase the sensitivity of the rain sensor by putting a funnel on top of it. The ratio of the top area of the funnel to the rain sensor area is the gain in sensitivity.

You could use a Fortezz Z-Wave Water/Flood Sensor, possibly extending the contacts or something to your exisitng Oregon rain collector.
