I’m looking to purchase 6 2 way dimmer and a pair of 3 way switch. I’m running all LED the 3 way doesn’t need to dim. I’m reading that there are some with buzzing issues and others with flickering issues. Was wondering which one to get so I can get it done right the first time.
The following dimmers have all proven to work well with LED bulbs:
Leviton VRMX1-1LZ 1000W Vizia RF ZWave Universal Magnetic Low Voltage Dimmer
Leviton DZMX1-1LZ Decora Z-Wave Controls Scene Capable Universal Dimmer
Linear WD500Z-1 Z-Wave 500-watt Wall Mount Dimmer Switch
Note that only the first Leviton supports the Instant Status feature.
Note also that the type of LED bulb will be a factor. Cree and Philips bulbs have proven to work well and reliably with these dimmers. There are some others that work with some switches and there are lots of other bulbs that buzz or flicker.
For ON/Off relay switches, almost any will work fine with LED bulbs. For matching the appearance of the above dimmers you may want to look at:
Leviton VRS15-1LZ Vizia RF + 15A Scene Capable Switch
Linear WS15Z-1 Z-Wave Wall Switch
I will add that for three-way installations I have had tremendous success with using WD500Z-1 dimmers in combination with WT00Z-1 controllers.
SO the WT00Z-1 combined with WD500Z-1 I can still make it a 3 way? Doesn’t both side of the switch needs to be a 3 way?
These are great info thanks!
Note that each manufacturer handles three-way operation differently.
With the Linear WD500Z-1/WT00Z-1 devices, only the WD500Z is an actual switch. Your LED would be physically connected to the WD500Z only.
The WT00Z would be wirelessly “associated” with the WD500Z so that any user input on the WT00Z would be synchronized to the WD500Z.
Both devices require a hot and neutral electrical connection. If you have an existing three-way switch that uses a (usually red) traveler wire, that wire will not be used by the Linear devices.

With that said, does this mean that I can actually use this setup to add a 3 way capable switch to an existing 2 way since the other one is not doing any of the triggering.
Yep. I like these switches for exactly that purpose. You can make any switch a three-way switch so long as you have a way of powering/installing the WT00Z at the new remote location.
from what I remember when I did my regular dimmers, there’s a white/black and a ground wire in all of my outlet. I have not open my 3 way switches yet so I’m not sure what’s there. The other question now is, can I make a 4 way out of any of this?
You can do a 4-way setup just like a 3-way setup (by associating each WT00Z with the WD500Z). There’s really no practical limitation on how many remote switches you can set up this way (though there is likely some theoretical limit…)
