Where to buy power adapter for battery pack?

Hey guys, just bought a used Vera3 and it didn’t come with power adapters for the battery and unit. I’m using the power adapter from the Veralite but I can’t charge the battery. Wondering if anybody here knows where I can buy a power adapter for the battery?

Thanks

Do you need the battery? My edge has no batteries in it, my Lite never had batteries installed (it could take 4 AA, but never used them).

I have the battery pack and the cord that connects the battery pack to the Vera 3. I don’t have the AC adapter to charge the battery pack though.

If you actually do need one, you can simply get a 12v battery pack and charger from Amazon. Type in 12v Battery pack and it will come back with a number of them with differing capacities. The one that shipped with my Vera3 was only 1800Mah but something like this should work.

Look through the comments to make sure it has the right connector so you don’t have to make up a cable or get an adapter. Apparently, the suppliers thought that detail wasn’t important enough to put on the description of the product but I’ll bet it’s one of the first questions asked. I think it’s a 5.5mm x 2.1 if someone can confirm.

Yeah I think those are the specs. I searched the forum when I got the Vera 3 to see if I could find my answer. I forgot to write the specs down though. I can find it again and write it down. Thanks man, I’ll take a look at the link.

Is the battery pack and charger really needed?

Not sure yet. I definitely needed the veralite to be in battery mode when including devices. I’ve never tried full power inclusion mode. Would like the option of the battery pack when needed.

Full power inclusion always work better as the VERA doesn’t need a heal to re map the network. When you move the vera around and start including it starts to get confused and routing is off until a heel, which as reported can make more problems.

I never had batteries in my LITE. The new Edge doesn’t even have that option anymore.

Maybe test it out and see how it works before you go threw to much trouble and get unnecessary items you don’t actually need. Being that it’s used and batteries also go bad. That also might be an issue now or in the future.

I won’t buy the battery pack yet since I don’t plan on adding any new devices for awhile. I’ll do some testing with full power inclusion. I have an Evolve LFM20 laying around not doing anything. I’ve never used full power cause I’ve always thought Vera wouldn’t be able to reach devices that are further away.
