Where can i find Z-Wave module for Filterete 3M-50 Thermostat.

I have been able to configure 3M-50 Thermostat on the wifi network and now i am able to control/view the thermostat through the iphone/ipad app.
However i would like to configure this on Vera 3. I guess for this i will require a Z-Wave module. Radio Thermostat does not sell the module in singles, instead in bulk of 10-20 costing hundreds of dollars.

I’ve been looking around, and found that 3M-50 does not work well with z-wave hence they stopped selling the zwave module. Not sure if that is true, and if i could find one module off through a re-seller etc. Or should i look into a different brand?

Whatever happened to Trane ComfortLink II thermostats, they were announced last year at CES??

I do see another interesting product on the table, their website is down as well. Dont see anywhere its sold at.

Thanks, this sounds fun. My Vera 3 will arrive tomorrow. Will let you know if it worked.

My Vera 3 arrived today, and i was able setup the device with my home network. Finally its up and running. I have started reading around the guide on the mios wiki page. I guess its going to take a few days before i complete reading this.
But before that, i would like to setup this thermostat with the meathod you mentioned above in ur post.
Can you pls suggest me a tutorial on how to add these commands to vera3.
I am well aware of telnet/ssh/unix commands being an IT guy, hence it shud not be problem on the learning curve.

Reading the instructions that @hugheaves wrote (on the Wiki link above), they seem about correct.

Here’s the original posting thread, you can probably use that for more specific questions:
