I have searched and searched and noticed people that have routing problems sometimes mess with these settings but I can’t find anywhere what these things do. The documentation stats that you should check 'Limit neighbors…" if you have a large network but that’s it. Does Vera routing require all messages to go through the Vera thus eliminating the “mesh” network?
Use Vera routing instead of Z-Wave (requires 4.5) default: checked
Limit neighbors to Z-Wave discovery (requries Vera routing) default: unchecked

I did. I found the following:
The z-wave device options (repair tab and others) contain checkbox settings reading “MiOS routing”.
This particular setting checks routing failures on devices during the day and initiates 2am automatic healing when routing failures are found…
Wonder what else it does thats not (yet?) documented?
Other than that, there is no real information and nothing on the second question I posed…unless I missed something. Some people have it checked and some don’t (although parts of that thread are 2 years old and it appears that it used to default to checked, now the default is unchecked).
