What did you do with Vera today?
Tech support responded to me today. My question was how come I had scenes viewable in the Vera app and Imperihome but I can only see 1 scene from my desktop browser.

This has been going on for a while and I’m on the latest 1.7.513 for Vera Lite. However it occurred in prior UI7 versions as well. I’ll post back when I have the answer.
Have you tried a different browser, different computer, refreshing browser?

Added 6 new z-wave relay/light switches over the weekend, along with three wireless door sensors attached to my DSC alarm, and one additional EnOcean occupancy sensor using the plug-in. All of three of our bathrooms now have fan and light control, as well as bathroom door and occupancy sensors. Now the hard part - getting the PLEG logic down perfect. So far only have only automated fan and lights in one water closet (so not even a whole bathroom), but hopefully can get all three bathrooms done this week.

Not really because I know they are there and they do run fine. Some are starting to appear. I gave tech support the remote code.

To the other question I was aware of the geofencing but I haven’t ever used that and frankly I never saw an option for it yet.

It’s in your phone app.

Lol…thanks. I was just playing with scenes on the mobile app months ago and never recalled the geofencing options probably due to the ui version and app version. I normally wouldn’t make scenes on the mobile app so without using that option I was surprised they weren’t viewable in the desktop gui.

made me a custom “light sensor” … using the Camera Image from my outside security camera.

(requires another real Linux machine such as Raspberry or whatever)

it simply “messure” the average Brightness of the camera image provided by the camera … more bright pixels=more light …

its not a real “Lux Value” but very usable for light sensitive triggers … such as Day/Night or lights based on the illumination.

best part: its FREE … (assuming you have a camera already and something that can run ImageMagick)

Hmmm. My cameras are connected to my Synology NAS, which has ImageMagick as part of its standard build…

Thinking about this one, might be a good project for me…

How did u get the EnOcean to talk with vera? What I could read out, it’s not zwave???

Apparently I got the Weather alert to work and didn’t know it. I went to bed thinking that it still wasn’t quite working, but my husband said that he thinks he heard the Sonos announce that we were under a winter weather advisory at 4 am today.

Doh! Now time to implement some conditional logic rules for “quiet time”

LOL after 3 or 4 “winter weather advisories” at dinner, I completely agree!! I want it to tell us if there is a tornado warning in the middle of the night, but I don’t really care if we are snug warm in our beds during a “winter weather advisory.” So time to figure out how to implement that. Hopefully I don’t have to test the tornado warning anytime soon.

its just 10 min work or so …
i wrote some draft manual together here http://goo.gl/R1ULJb

I thought about this overnight, and I just don’t trust Vera to do this. I have one of these radios in the bedroom, which is the Cadillac of weather radios IMHO, and it configured to ONLY alert on a SAME tornado warning, and I think that is a better design. In theory I could use the External Alert plug to communicate the tornado warning for HA purposes, but I can’t really think of an application for that…

writing the things up took alot longer than actually doing it … haha

(i’m very Manual-resistent) :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

In installed the OSD ATM-7 switch box for 4 speakers thoughout my house. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004Y8MH3M/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I then integrated into the zone 2 of my Denon, where I have a Sonos Connect installed. and then upgraded the Denon plugin to see if I could get it more stable.

Next, I integrated into my Harmony One remote setup, so I can control the zones via IR from Vera.

I am now spending far too much time troubleshooting and tweaking, but so far it’s working pretty well.

I added a couple more switches to my network… one in the garage for the ceiling fluorescents, and two in a bathroom for lights. On the second bathroom light switch, I ran into “can’t go into learn mode.” There doesn’t seem to be any sure fix for that. The last time it happened, I just tossed the hardware.

still thinking of a bathroom solution … as i have inline waterheaters … sucking up to 3500 watts … (they running now trough the light switch … but iam not really willing spend a fortune on a heavy duty thingy)

well i most likely end up with a standard modult and a large relay connected to it … and a LOT of Tape :stuck_out_tongue:

Turned of my UI5 Vera 2 (as it recently decided to boot itself back to UI4 and has not worked fully since) and started the switch over process to my new Edge on UI7…da da daaaaaaaaa.
