Had a chance to upgrade to .989-1 and it worked. I can finally use the thermostat as normal. A long long wait but it appears to be OK now. No more adding and subtracting. Thanks.
Well, its not fixed on 1.1.228. In early March MCV sent me an email saying that it was fixed in the next release and it would be out in a couple of days. So far, no new release. I guess they are still testing it.
