Water Level sensor

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone knows a way to monitor water levels in a tank?
We are installing tanks that will be filled with rain water and I wanted to know if there was a system that was compatible with vera (z-wave, wifi, etc) that would be able to tell me the level of water inside the tank (25%, 50%, etc). Have any of you had any experience doing this?

the way I monitor for low level in my aquarium is a simple float switch attached to the fibaro universal sensor. This has dry contact inputs to connect float switches.

Some sort of float switch setup is likely the best you’re going to get. If you need 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%, you’d need 4 switches. My suggestion would be to look into the mysensors plugin and create your own sensor for this one. Otherwise, it’s going to get expensive…
