Wondering if anyone has found a great looking solution for this. Doorbird just released a wall mount for the ipad4. It’s expensive, but looks really nice–we love their door station, and have several video phones installed around the house that are left over from our old intercom system, so wondering if their mounting solution might be worth the $.
Any cheap tablet could do when using Openhab Habpanel.
You integrate the Vera in Openhab through the Mios binding and it all works perfectly.
I just purchased and installed a Dockem 20003-BL Damage-Free Wall Mount & Dock for Smartphone and Tablet off Amazon. Inexpensive and does not leave any marks if I want to take it down as is uses command strips. It holds on the wall just fine but I do not think it secures the device well enough. Devices just sit in the bottom with tabs to keep it in place. It is easy to pull the device if I want to make changes. I am re-purposing older smartphones so this isn’t holding a tablet but they say it can. I am thinking about those magnetic holders for the car. I’d like to find something along those lines so I can hold the device on the wall without showing any sort of mount.
I picked up some 90 degree charging cables so the power cord isn’t visible much at all. The device is mounted with a corner close by and a speaker was already mounted around the corner so I didn’t worry with an in the wall mounting solution. My wife hasn’t killed me so it must not be any more visible than before.
I use these with iPads and they work well http://www.vidabox.com/kiosks/
I had one flush into the wall (requires cutting a hole in the dry wall)
This is one solution but not as neat as mine
The one I had was glossy and matched the texture and color of the iPad (black or white) and enabled me to charge the iPad inside the wall. I can’t find it right now. It was the same model as this one below but not in brushed metal.

Edit. Found it:
Take off the backplate. Screw it to the wall click the tablet back on the wallplate.
You can not get any flusher.
There are some pictures somewhere on this forum how to reroute and mount the walltablet how I did it.

I flushmounted a couple of ebay purchased iPads using brackets from http://www.ipadwallbracket.com/.
Looks like they raised their prices since I bought, though :-\
For wall mount tablets, I don’t think anything can beat an android tablet with Imperihome. Looks very professional. Got me a cheap 12" RCA android tablet, heavy duty velcro and cut a hole and dropped the power supply inside the wall.
