Virtual Devices from MCV

I am having trouble getting the Virtual Thermostat to work posted by mcvflorin http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,8363.msg53275.html#msg53275

I have no implementation errors on the fan control…does anyone else have a working model or know what is missing?

The UI shows a “No Implementation Error”

Thanks
Tim

Tim, Ever get an answer? I have the same issue.

Yes I did!

That was from MCVflorin but I haven't seen a working version yet!

As soon as it is working I have a plugin that allow the Vera to be used as a Thermostat using a Temperature Sensor and a Relay!

Do you know what variables in the stat we can ask for to determine that heat, cool, or fan is actually ON.

I will have to look at the XML file…can’t remember off the top of my head.
I wil check it out after work tonight!

Sorry, missed a line in my last post.

I think it is urn:micasaverde.com:serviceId:HVAC_OperatingState1

The question is where do we find out what all the possible values are? Is there such a doc?

IF I remember correctly all of them are listed in the XML file.
I will check when I have a chance…I don’t think its in the Ever Spanning Wiki which has the answer to all of lifes questions in it…IF you can find them!

Tim

Sounds like an interesting plugin. Are you looking at setting one relay to call for heat and another for cooling.

John

The plugin I have is just for cooling at the moment…that is all I needed. It would be easy to modify it for heat or both. I was planning on using it as a manual over ride for a normal thermostat so that even if Vera was bricked that it wouldn’t hurt anything.
