I installed the virtual on/off switch and am running version 1.31.
In the past week or two, the virtual switch started mysteriously going to the off state. I use it for occupancy state and when off, it is supposed to indicate an unoccupied home status, which activate alerts on all of my sensors. I know precisely when this happens because I have it set to notify me when the target is set of 1 or 0.
I only have one scene which switches it to off and that doesn’t seem to be the cause. That scene is triggered by certain door lock pin entries and the scene does not indicate any of those key pin entries at the time that the virtual switch is set to off.
Has anyone else had this virtual on/off switch go to off state spontaneously?
The reviews on the app page indicate that recent reviewers have version 1.32. I have the auto update feature selected but I have version 1.31. Do I need to uninstall then reinstall to update to version 1.32?
Put a notification on the Scene Trigger … Make sure your lock is not causing the problem.
You can update a plugin by:
http://YourVeraIPAddress:3480/data_request?id=update_plugin&Plugin=PluginID
You can get the PluginID from the Plugin property on the advanced page for the device.
The plugin ID is 1408. The version 1.32 allows to “toggle” the switch from a scene, I don’t think it has any relation to your problems.
Since nobody else ever reported a problem like this, I don’t really think is plugin related. I think it must be within your scenes. Have a look in the log files to see what is causing your switch to change it’s state.
