Hey, does anyone have experience with any of the ip video doorbells? I saw a workaround to connect to the Ring but I’m wondering if there are any others that aren’t locked down.
I use a DoorBird. The video feed is stored on my NVR and also added as a device to Vera.
Used its API so the door bell push triggers a virtual device in Vera which then controls my RGBW skylight (for visual notification)

No cloud storage with Vera unless we have Vera cameras?
If we did have a Vera camera could we also store video from the Doorbird in the same place?
Is a flash drive plugged into the Vera controller another option?
I use Ring and have not tried to combine with Vera. Given the flakiness of Vera, I (now) like that Ring is totally independent, although originally was disappointed there was not easy interface.
