Version numbers?

Hi all.
Can someone please explain me the version numbers?
Mi Vera Edge talks about 1.7.3425 or 1.7.3500.
In this forum i read about 7.0.25.01 and so on.
I would like to understand what i am reading here.

7.0.25.01 refers to all platforms for this particular release; each Vera hardware platform has its own version number for that release:

Firmware

  • Vera3, VeraLite, & VeraLite G: 1.7.1017
  • VeraEdge: 1.7.3500
  • VeraPlus: 1.7.3532
  • VeraSecure: 1.7.3535
