Trying to understand capabilities of both. If I install the Yale RL Deadbolt, will the Vera controller allow me control time of day for each user via Vera IOS pre-programmed capabilities or do I have to program this capability somehow? I have ElanG installed in house but it apparantly doesn’t support the internal capabilites of the lock like Control4 does. Thanks much, Seacur
I haven’t tried it yet but just looking through the settings, you can specify when each users code is valid:
Daily between two dates (year/month/day/hour/minute) - ie valid daily starting at 0700 march 4, 2014 to 2300 may 5, 2014
Weekly - you specify which days of the week and the time frame during those days. You can only set one time frame for all days. You can’t set a different time frame for each day - ie you can set something like Sunday Tuesday and Friday between 0802-1417 but not Sunday 0500-0800 Tuesday 0700-2330 Friday 0300-0435
Yes, via VERA you can set “restrictions” on PINs as to when they can be used…
For example I have some guests in town, and the Yale locks are programmed to only work during their stay. Vera removes the PINS after the end date arrives… Example "
(daily) 3-MAY-2014 12:00 - 9-JUN-2014 18:00"
I have also used day of the week restrictions in the past, such that a housecleaner’s code only worked on Wednesdays between 8am and 5pm…
