Veralite, DSC 1616 w/ Plugin...Now What?
You do not need to Port Forward:

http://code.mios.com/trac/mios_dscalarmpanel
Refer to Additional Setup.

If remote Arming and Disarming is not required from Vera, then exit and save; however if this is required then stay in this screen and enter one of the following into the EnableRemoteArm variable:

disarm (Least secure as all functions are available including disarm)
arm (Will enable away and stay arming)
NOTE: disarm is the least secure and enables all remote arming features.
Does not give functionality on app to arm or disarm. I did set that variable as indicated in my post.

In your post you stated set variable to “arm”, which only allows you to arm the alarm. It needs to set set to “disarm” to allow both arm and disarm.

Understood, but I do not get an option in the Vera app to arm. I can only see the zones. If u want to pm me your email, I’ll send u screen shots

The arming is achieved via the Partition. The other option is to create scenes.

I don’t think you understand my point. I am talking about an ability to ARM/DISARM via Vera Mobile not the MiOS portal. As it is now, one can only see the sensors. There is no place to ARM/DISARM the system in Vera Mobile. As far as I can tell, you still have to use the Envisalink web portal to ARM/DISARM via your phone. I have read the wiki and do not see how I can get ARM/DISARM via Vera mobile.

What is the point of caring about how the ENABLEREMOTEARM variable is set in the Micasaverde MiOS portal? If someone is able to get to the Partition 1 window you posted, they can get to the DSC Alarm Panel settings to change that variable. They won’t have your alarm code unless you put it in.

If you searched / read some more on this forum, you would have found several posts covering the issue with Vera Mobile. Vera Mobile does not support the DSC Plugin fully, it will only show the sensors. The developer (MCV) would need to add support. I suggest that you look at other Vera app alternatives like HomeWave or Automator.app. There are also a few others that may support the DSC Plugin, but the two I listed will.

Yeah, I’ve been studying it all for a couple weeks now but apparently missed that. Thanks for providing the alternatives to review. Just reviewed them and they are not free. Will stick with 2 separate apps for now.

Why do I get “Lua failure?” I followed the wiki install explicitly.
