I have run into an issue setting up VeraAlerts that I have been unable to resolve. I installed Pushover, VeraAlerts, and PLEG and setup various notifications and message overrides for when certain PLEG conditions are met. I receive the notifications VeraAlert notifications just as I should, but the notification never actual transmits the condition names, but not the message overrides. I have reloaded LUA, rebooted, confirmed that the overrides are saved by running a report, but still have not been able to obtain the notification with the message override. Any advice would be appreciated!
UI5 or UI7 ?
Which Plugin Version ?
Send me email with output from the REPORT command in the Vera Alerts PLugin.
Unfortunately this issue has now gotten worse and now I receive no notifications for regular Vera notifications. I am not exactly sure when this issue arose, and it might have occurred after a VeraPlus firmware upgrade.
In any case, I am still able to: (i) send notifications manually through VeraAlerts, (ii) receive internal Vera alerts (reboot and property changes notifications), (iii) receive PLEG action notifications (with the notification set as an action in PLEG), and (iv) receive VeraAlerts setup in Lua for PLEG actions.
Naturally it would be nice to receive all notifications through VeraAlerts rather than mix and match VeraAlerts and regular Vera notifications set in each individual device.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
This appears to be a UI issue … either restore to the pre-nextgen version … or help to identify the problem.
To restore use a Vera backup and disable Auto-Update or Disable Auto-Update then see:

To help debug I will need to see any errors from the JavaScript console from the UI. Instructions on how to access the Javascript console is available from the Log entry in the Vera Alerts menu.
Assuming I pulled the logs properly, my errors appear to be as follows:

As always, thank you very much for your help.
I am beginning to think this may be a Vera Problem.
There are lots of reports of problems with saving scenes.
A Notification in Vera is internally implemented as a Scene with the specified trigger.
By any chance are you also getting any errors about LUA or scenes ?
Some folks (not necessarily Vera Alerts users) have reported this.
I have not seen any errors in the log relating to Lua saving scenes. While I attempted a message override I got the follow log entries (not all appear to be related and I think perhaps none of them are related to overrides):

When I attempt to add a new notification through Vera (in this case for a Kwikset lock) I got the following errors in the log:

The following errors are potential serious problems:
016-6-31 21:3:5 Error in Application.mergeLuStatusDeviceStates: TypeError: Cannot set property 'value' of undefined
9core.js?*1.7.2044-1-12002413*:12 2016-6-31 21:3:8 Error in Application.mergeLuStatusDeviceStates: TypeError: Cannot set property 'value' of undefined
Although there is no indication that this came from VeraAlerts … this is the internal UI7 code.
Forgive me to drag this old thread up, but I am getting this same error as quoted in the last post, to wit: “Error in Application.mergeLuStatusDeviceStates: TypeError: Unable to set property ‘value’ …etc., etc” on the latest official firmware for veraPlus. This is the only thread that mentions this language.
Was there any resolution to this error? if so, how? It seems to be causing numerous Restarts for me. Thanks in advance for any insight that can be provided.
