VeraAlerts is probably just the messenger, but every morning at 2:30am, my vera seems to restart. Is there any way to trace why this is happening?

Those are Vera nightly heals… they occur always at the same time, they occur every day if Vera senses a communication problem during the day and you have Use mios (or Vera) routing.
It doesn’t hurt, for me, is a good thing, it mantains your network “healthy” but if you want to stop it, disable Vera routing.
