i am a newbee with the vera automation system.
I have the Vera plus since two weeks, and try to connect the Fibaro motion sensor (FGMS-001, EU V3.2) and i wont work. ) the rest of the sensors was done in a minute)
I tryed many times to connect it the proper way but still i cant get it work.
i called the supllier, in the first try he connect the earlier version of the motion sensor (zwave), this one connected with no problems.
Than he tried the Zwave plus sensor and he was getting the same problems, no option to activate for example a lamp with motion.
When you try to connect it, by menu Devices → add sensor-> Sensor-> Fibaro FGMS, it wont get connected after the 60 seconds
If you try to connect by Devices->add sensor->Generic- Zwave Device then it will go further and you get someting workin like Light (lux), temperature (see picture) but still no motion detected
we have emailed the support included the supllier, untill now i didnt get any answer, please who can help me ??
I’ve just started out and I’m having exactly the same issues with the FMGS-001 V3.2EU into Vera Plus.
I get no visual change of state on the motion detector icon within Vera but, I do get alerts that the device has been tripped/tamper.
Even a simple association of “Group 2” to a Fibaro Dimmer 2 (FGD-212) doesn’t seem to work, whenever I wake the motion sensor to take the association values (G2 & DevID of Dimmer) it just seems to hang on “Please wait, Getting the manufacturer!!”
Am I missing any fundamental setting which I’m not applying?
[quote=“RichDC, post:3, topic:191554”]Hi, first post for me…
I’ve just started out and I’m having exactly the same issues with the FMGS-001 V3.2EU into Vera Plus.

The “Please wait…” usually means that the device went to sleep during the configuration process. Try going to the device’s settings and set Automatically Configure to Yes. They should wake it up and run it through the process. Also note, that when Gen 5/Z-Wave Plus devices are using Network Wide Inclusion that during pairing there is more data being exchanged than normal and distance can slow that down, try moving the device closer for the pairing process, it can help.
Also, feel free to mention to Manufacturer how much you would like them to play better with Vera.
Thanks Marc, tonight I had some success with associations and now have a light that turns on and off automatically.
I had to use the configure node now command with a triple click on the sensor and pow… Blue success…
A big step forward for me in my process for home automation…
One thing that did happen whilst association and config parameters were being added, 3 of the devices/objects were deleted (Temperature, Lux & Level) but, were then recreated again with different device id’s. Is this normal?
I still have the battery displaying, just no visual on/off status with the motion sensor. I assume it should go red and the status change on/off.
Also can’t detect device on a fibaro dimmer fgd-212 v3.3.
All of my devices are within 2 metres of the Vera plus at the moment as I’m bench testing how it all goes together before z-wave domination of my home…
i have emailed support about this, end they did a manual adding the Fibaro because it wasnt supported yet in the latest version VERA.
Answer from support:
“Full integration with this device will be added in the next UI release but until then I?ve manually added it to your Vera DB.
You will have to manually wake up the sensors to report the values for the child devices.”
Nice one, I had a similar response yesterday from my supplier.
They have also said that Vera can do remote to configure or, I can wait till the next firmware release. Don’t mind if it’s another week but, any longer then i’ll have to get it done too.
So how does it look now? do you get change of state etc. ?
Hey guys, can anyone share the manual settings to be done in order to make the Fibaro Motion sensors (FGMS-001 / V3.2) work on the Vera Plus? I would like to secure the house
Having the same issue. I recently purchased five of the Fibaro V3.2 units, and I can’t get them to successfully pair with my VeraPlus. Interestingly, if I add the device as a generic Z-Wave device, it will pair, but the various sensors are not configured correctly in the UI.
Rich,
Did you get the Vibration sensor to work yet? I was able to configure the other three aspects, but not the vibration sensor yet. I don’t know if I’ll ever use it, but I would at least like to have it configured correctly.
To be honest I haven’t even looked at getting the vibration sensor working yet as I’m waiting to see what happens in the next firmware update. As it stands at the moment it’s enough to drive some lights on motion, send me an alert if one is tripped and use the temperatures for boiler control. I’m kinda stalling my automation plans until the next firmware release which, I hope is very soon…?
I can also add to the problem with adding Fibaro Motion Sensors. It sometimes works and sometimes not. But it is not only related to Fibaro Motion Sensors. It is door sensors, locks, and Philips Hue as well! Even NEST thermostats is very shaky with VERA Plus.
They are fully stable when controlling both Nest and Hue with their own tools but VERA looses connection and that means that scenes sometimes fails and you have to program lots of logic for it to retry and make sure the scene gets executed. Also my AC’s scenes fails more that 50% because VERA decides that the Nest thermostat is not available. But I have spent hours and days to verify this and my thermostats are always available on my app…
Going back to the motion sensor, it seems that every battery powered sensor fails big time and I must say that I do not trust this system for one second and it must be the most buggy device I have ever owned.
Got my 2 to work with supports help that was before i found this thread.
But the range i get is not that good, maybe 2-3 meter (6-9ft) with is way below my expectation, do anyone know of a parameter to adjust or do you have the same problem?
So Aeon 6in1 has better range. but else Fibaro is the best for me
