Vera on rt-n16

Is there any way to run Vera on my Asus RT-N16 (which is quite similar to wl500g)?
I don’t want to install the full firmware, I would like to have Vera related modules/applications to run on my current firmware. What should I download (or extract from Vera firmware) and how it can be installed? What kind of Z-Wave dongle should I buy? Only this one is ok?
And, what is licence cost for usage of this software?

(if it would help - I am ready to test Vera on my device under your guidance)

I would suggest to search this board for details, but the short answer - Vera runs only on its own hardware.

I’ve searched by word ‘rt-n16’ and it returned nothing, so I’ve created this topic.

What do you mean by its own hardware? Do you install some additional hardware inside of wl500g? Or do you name that USB dongle as its own hardware? What is it?

Btw, this topic says that vera v1 uses ASUS Hardware + AEON Labs ZWave USB Stick + MiOS Software

Right, did you read the rest of that post?
mios is a software component, at this moment it’s only available pre-installed on Vera hardware

Surely, I’ve read that…
But still I am not clear what is ‘Vera hardware’…

I believe it is a slightly modified ASUS wl500g.

Hi all!
Is MiOS available now for download?

Mios (Vera) is still only for Vera hardware (Vera 1 and Vera 2). You can not load it onto anything else. However they are working on getting the software version to run on Windows and Mac in the near future. As for a date, that has not been mentioned. If you want to try out Mios (Vera) you will need to buy the Vera hardware either from Micasa Verde or a dealer like ASIHome.

ok, then I’ll have to wait for linux-based MiOS available to everyone
