the vera unit is not seeing the thermosat
how do i get it to load device
I don’t know if this is your problem, but I have 4 of these in my 2 houses, and I bought all 4 at the same time, First time I went to set them up, I had 2 of the 4 that would not pair. Turned out they had a bad comm board in them. I returned them, got 2 new ones, and 1 out of the 2 was also bad. I am still waiting for the 4th one to be replaced. So seems that they have had some bad units. The thermostat itself seems to work fine, it was just the communications board that was bad. So far 3 bad units. I bought them from Amazon if that helps.
Update: just got my replacement thermostat and when I went to pair it, got “function failed” again. This time I opened up the back of the thermostat and checked to see if the communication module was seated, and it was not. A little push on the board and I felt it pop in. Hooked it back up and success. There is a plastic cover over the board that is accessible from the back, remove it and check the board.
