hello all, i would very kindly ask someone to suggest the best way to upgrade my ui5 Veralite to UI7. Also a backup plan in case it doesnt go well would be nice.
so ask 1 is i would like to keep my settings and network. is this possible? i understand yes generaaly by going to ui6 and ui7 step by step.
ask 2 is to know how to downgrade and restore my network again.
ask 3 is i understand that it would be smart to delete any temp files from ui5 verlite lite before the upgrade to free space. any ideas how?
Not much of a detailed response here but I can at least offer that I did the upgrade from UI5 to UI7 and kept all my devices on a Vera Lite about a month or 2 ago. Still working out some kinks with UI7 but it wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it might be. I did the backup file just in case as well but never needed it.
If I recall, I had to do a couple reboots during the process and had to go through the setup of adding the controller to the new home.getvera.com portal instead of the old cp.mios.com one but in the end it all worked out.
So far I’m happy with the upgrade, the new UI7 interface is a little easier on the eyes for me.
