I am having trouble getting Vera to respond when plugged into a switch that then is plugged into my router. Any reason this should not work? Vera does respond properly when directly connected to the router.
Sounds like you’ll have to turn off the DNS on Vera and let your current router handle the DNS entries. Also, if you’ve got MAC filtering turned on… you’ll either have to disable it or add Vera’s Mac Address to your current Router.
Vera should then be given a new IP number by your router. You’ll have to check your router to see what that number is.
If you go to Advanced, Net & Wi-fi, and say “no firewall” and turn off dhcp, Vera will just be a normal switch, and will have 2 IP’s: the one it gets from dhcp, and also 192.168.81.1
