No matter what I try I cannot connect locally.
Logging in remotely via getvera.com works, but trying to connect direct using the ip address on a wired connection gets a ‘401 - Unauthorized’
(Also, both routes ask for user/password 3 times…)
I have the ‘Secure your Vera’ box unticked.
Application Version: 1.7.1018
Should this work?
How are you getting the ip address? With the secure your vera unticked, the getvera website would make you connect locally anyway. Did you set up a fixed IP for the vera?
The link provided below can be used for UI to locate Vera

Maybe I’m misunderstanding the whole thing…
I’ll scan through the forums again

Assigning a fixed IP from your router is ok assuming your vera settings are not also trying to set it on a different fixed address.
And logging in like you show with the IP address is correct.
I think you have another problem, but not sure what. Also asking for password 3 times is another sign of an issue.
