Does anyone else perceiving that the server support is getting less reliable??

I never have to reboot my Veras (so far). Although MCV support has said I need to reboot, they always start working magically (when the remote servers start working again).
This was very clearly not an issue with “rebooting”, however a network/equipment/ISP failure upstream (at MCV’s data center). The server’s hostname wasn’t resolving and subsequently, I couldn’t ping it (cp.mios.com). Now that I’ve figured out how to get SQ Remote on the iPad to run independently of requiring connectivity to cp.mios.com, I’m in the clear, however iVera didn’t work at all.

There have been hardware issues, as well as attacks. Sounds like they are trying to improve it.
I interpreted the quoted reboot to be a means to expedite a necessary resync with the server, that would have happened periodically anyway.
Did you not regain access to your Veras in last Monday’s case?
Regarding the use of a timer for reboots… Do you know a timer that is renter proof.? If it can be broken or reset our renters will do it… Using a timer may fix on problem but break another…
cp.mios.com is all kinds of confused for me. I have two Veras.
I cannot connect to my primary Vera system through iVera - always says “incorrect user/pass”. It connects to the secondary OK
If I log into cp.mios.com I can either log into my primary OR log into my secondary. If I refresh the page it may switch from one to the other. I can’t see both of them at the same time!
Scheduled reboots using crontab are quite tamperproof.
The renter needs to ssh into the box using username and password.
Although this is on the bottom of the box, it can be changed!
Renters need to be Linux savvy.
They need physical acces to Vera to get the default user/pass.
I would always recommend to lock away Vera in a rental place.
And i would hope renters have other things to do on their holidays than to hack the HA system.
So again, my recommendation would be either crontab (safe software solution) or put Vera behind a mechanical 120v timer, which is also not tamperproof when not locked away…

Obviously I have been seeing the same problems with being unable to use remote access, but I am also finding that my boxes keep disappearing from the list of myMios systems. Earlier this week I could see two of the boxes, but not the third and today I can see one of the boxes but not the other two.
It is proving to be pretty unreliable in this area. These Veras are all in rental properties, but I have a script running on the each Vera that keeps an ssh connection open allowing me to tunnel back to the Vera, but this is becoming so unreliable that I am now considering expanding upon that to allow me to access the web server on the boxes in the same way so that I don’t need to use cp.mios.com at all.

How did you set up that script to access it. I have 3 remote units at rentals as well. All of them 1200 miles away so it’s no quick trip to get to them. Is there another thread that might explain this?
Initially, I really liked the flexibility and functionality of MIOS/Vera2. So much that I encouraged a buddy to purchase one, as well. This weekend I’ve been trying to help him get his new vera2 going and it has been a total disaster. One minute it knows his new account and lets him log in, the next minute it doesn’t. Sometimes it recognizes his vera when he logs in, sometimes not.
At first I thought we had just botched the initial setup, but I’m having the same problems with my vera being recognized some of the time and some times not.
I’m very very interested to hear from some of the long-term users of these systems about these problems. Are things getting better or worse? Are these systems useful only as a “hobby” to play with, or is there a chance I can actually use my vera for monitoring my property?
