Vera CS can't log in using support code/key - had to create new accout

Well this seems odd. I forwarded the login string from the support page to VERA CS. They said they couldn’t log in. I reset it, and they still couldn’t get it - said maybe it was my firewall. Strange, since I’ve made no changes to my router, and it had worked on previous sessions. They suggested I simply create a new user account, and give them the credentials. So I tried.

My VP has only account - mine, the admin account. No other accounts are listed. Yet, when I tried to add a new one with the name “VERA”, it said that account already exists. So I changed it slightly.

I realize there is A LOT that happens behind the scenes with this controller, but there is something slightly unnerving about there being existing user accounts THAT ARE NOT LISTED in the user account list. I understand there have to be root/admin/system profiles, but why not list them (maybe grayed out or for informational purposes)? What ever legitimate reason there is for having a secondary unlisted account, is little consolation when you find out like this.

The support tech responded to my concerns about the username already existing. Apparently when you choose a username, it must be unique to ALL OTHER USERS ON THE CLOUD. That’s quite different that simply stating “user already exists”… I guess I’m just too paranoid.
